I found the weak spot on the EXB V2 servo saver!!
I spun the lower cam. The front wheels are pointing forward and the servo saver arm is pointing to who knows where.

I had an EC5 to deans plugged in to an deans to xt60 adapter bottleneck, mickey mouse adapter mess... deans let go first.
No fire but the 2 ends are melted together pretty well now!

I have resoldered. Just EC5 to xt60 now.

Waiting for decent weather to head outside and test my adapter.

I plan to go with all xt60 and bullets moving forward. 👍

Adapters are for amateurs!!
Agree! I bought these adapters with my first sets of lipos. Being a noob to lipo I didn't know what I needed or wanted for connectors.
Now I know better.
I think xt60's will cover my needs for now. I think xt90's if I need to step it up in the future.

I knew it was wrong. I did it anyway. 🤷‍♀️🤣

We've all been there. We'll, not me. I've been soldering since I was 9.

I didn't break this today, I actually broke it the 23rd. I had wired in a new traxxas plug, but the plug is so sketchy that you can plug black to red and red to black. I have done that exact thing and blew a capacitor on the esc. Didn't get to even drive the stupid thing...

The plug that led to the downfall:

Yeah, but I am not allowed to do the electrical/soldering part because my mom doesn't trust me, so my uncle does it. Also after I heard it pop and sizzle a tore the tape back and correctly plugged it together to find out it doesn't work any more...

You should start practicing your soldering skills on things that dont matter. Cut an old appliance cord for wire to practice with. 😉
Def ditch that electrical tape.
Invest in some heat shrink tubing.
Practice with that too.
As long as you are careful not to burn yourself or anything else, its actually kind of fun. 😁
Practice makes perfect...
You'll never get better by having someone else do it for you. 👍

Burnt up the servo in the Mini B. This was my 2nd savox servo. Sh0255mgp, I got it around this time last year. Servo got hot, made the receiver go haywire. Think motor or something electrical was fried. Turning the servo by hand is smooth but harder to turn.
So that's going to be down for a while. Want to stick with savox bc I have the HR savox servo saver but kinda don't bc I already burnt up 2. #1 was a signal wire issue after 2ish years of use. This one, #2 motor fried (I think). Plus savox's are typically noisy and power hungry. More like hangry.

Thinking about NSDRCs RS100 micro servo but it's a expensive purchase... 60 bucks... And I need a new horn/saver.

edit to add, the truck is abused, its a user error, shouldnt be taken as a reflection of the cen itself, i have a

Hobbywing EZRun 3665SD G3 Sensored Brushless Motor (2400kV) in it and it seems to rip it apart each time. why are my letters in bold??? thats weird

So I took my brand new Haboa Hyper SS Caged Truggy out for its first spin. Just wanted to rip it up and down the block for a minute. I immediately drove it under my neighbor's parked car and bent the front shock tower. A new personal record for breakage. Totally my fault. Oh well, replacement parts are ordered and will be here in a few days.
