Motor, transmission and belly pan. What next..

So, uh, of course when I buy a pinion set a couple weeks ago, I decide to go buy a different brand and buy it. Uhhhhh, whoops. Anyways, probably a long shot, but I'll post the other pinion set in the classifieds if anyone's interested.

Why the two different sets of pinions?

Hi everyone, I bought my final big thing before the iXSR and it's not an RC car but a modern classic game system.

It's my final PS3, It's a CECH-A01 model my 3rd and hopefully final one. She set me back $280 before tax on eBay and she's from October 2006 still has the original warranty seal intact and still has the original 60GB HDD. She's practically the same model as my first one and My Dad's coworker's one.

My sister-in-law is really into bears, in fact she wants me to refinish a 6ft wood black bear that sits on her porch.
I'm going to do a jigsaw project and surprise her. The bear will be dark walnut and the background will be something lighter
like a basswood sheet or something.

Stain that walnut with Minwax's black walnut. Some very good stuff. We used it for all our walnut projects and I loved it. Can't wait to see this project!.

I like tung oil. Haven't used minwax for walnut. Have a pic?

Yeah, I've done that. I'm actually going to use UV clear coat.

No, it was 35 years ago when I left woodworking and went to metal working. But I grew up in a woodshop, then later went to work at a custom woodshop here in town. I made this door while the owner put the frames and windows together. It's in a national historical landmark built like a castle in a local cemetary. This pic was taken 30 years after we installed them lol.

Cool. I've worked with lots of wood (and other materials) but come from a metal background. Worked for a design company for many years. Started doing what I do now (working in forest management I guess you can call it) "temporarily" 1.5 years ago.

Here's a set I built

Very nice! Hurco huh? The one machine I never got to run. Which is funny, because they are built just a few blocks from where I worked while in the racing industry.

I worked mostly in Aerospace most of my career after woodworking. Mostly metal shops, but I also spent a few years machining aircraft molds and carbon fiber and other composite components. I made a BUNCH of gimbals for predator drones. We also made this from the ground up. Made the molds, laid the fiber, machined it, assembled, and shipped it to a company in Mexico.

And then the expensive prototype stuff. This bad boy was about the cost of a Bugatti Veyron.

Here's a fun one. For a roller coaster at Ferrari World in Abu Dhabi.

I started in welding and fabrication. And ended up wearing many hats since it was only 3 of us most of the time. I personally didn't run the hurco. There was the owner/designer a office/business manager/designer and me shop foreman. Had a full-time helper till covid then he moved west. It's all a long story lol I miss it but I don't miss the stress.

Throw some light construction in there too but mostly finish work.

Then in another life I worked in the ski industry for a very long time. That was fun.

Fabricators are cool. I worked with some of the best in the country in the racing industry. It's amazing watching stuff get bent into shape and turned into cars and stuff.

Most of the time I was figuring out and building the tools for the job. Lots of prototype fabrication and work for other designers. Made a crazy chair for Mortlach Distillery.

I have a video of it that has more of the shop work being done but I guess this is the final cut they have out.
I'm not Joe. But that's me welding and grinding :naughty:

Cool, I have intentions on getting another Sledge next year or someday i threw away two months of iXSR savings to get my new to me PS3 but oh well. I also plan to get a 6s Kraton EXB v6 someday as well beside the Sledge.
