Neat, I thought of getting myself this new charger eventually the GA D1000.

i already have the smaller D300. Although it's an AC only it can do 500W a side and charge up to 7s per side.
But they don't tell you what the balance current is anywhere that I can find. Pretty important spec for them not to mention that in their specifications. But I know the D300 isn't that great.

I have mine and it's served me well i just bash and use Amazon special batteries. Certainly better than my old Amazon special charger. Update: I found out that the balancing current for the D300 is 1.2A\x2 Cell max also the D300 does 150W a side AC and 350W DC per side.

The D300 only has a 1.2A balance current. That's pretty weak compared to the Hota, which is about $20 cheaper and has a 1.6A balance current. The balance current is pretty important.

I'm just saying, before you buy that D1000, I'd make sure it has good specs, and for whatever reason, Gens decided to leave that spec out of their description. Pretty shady considering that was the one spec that was lacking on the D300. Are they trying to hide something?

It's suited me fine but i'll take a note on that. I just looked up the balance current for the D1000 which is 2A\Max x3 Cell at least that was it says on the box.

Damn good truck. Although I haven't used mine yet, I'm gonna recommend the o.s. 11k carb.

When do you get it? 😍😝🤪
I don't know if i will since nitro's are kind of expensive to own and difficult to run. besides i kind of brought up the idea since i thought it would be cool but i might just be better off with electric or gas. Also i have plans to eventually get a Losi 5ive-T 2.0 which is gas powered and a little easier and cheaper to buy fuel for it's also more of what i would want. But that's just what i think.

While I do see your point, I've noticed you keep mentioning the word 'or'... You could buy the Losi 1/5 scale 'OR' a nitro truck...

Say AND!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I don't find nitros hard. Just frustrating that they don't like the cold so much... Its cold here!
They are a LOT of fun once they are figured out/dialed in!!!

Thanks for understanding my thing, I could also have both trucks in the future if saved up for both of them and bought them at different times. I just worry if don't like nitro in the end or it's too much trouble i might end up selling my future T-Maxx.

You are young and have lots of time... theres only one way to find out what you like and don't... 😉
You have lots of time to try an RC out.
I live the idea of a huge 1/5 scale truck but I have no place to run a truck so large.
Gas or nitro, theres something cool about running a real engine and that rip of power and burning exhaust that electric will always lack.
I love them all! 🤣

You might be right, Maybe someday i'll give a nitro a try but first i want to get my new radio and the Super Clod Buster as well as some other stuff. I'm only 25 as of this year so i have plenty of time so i hope they'll still be making T-Maxxes and 5ive-T's in the future.

Just don't wait until they are all discontinued and cost 8 times what they do today! 🤣

Congrats.
When it arrives..... are you gonna sprint out and run it?
Yes!

Though these days my 'sprint' is more like a leisurely stroll. 🤪

Nitro expense depends on alot. The bigger motors are found in heavier trucks and drink alot compared to a .15 stadium truck. If your new or not good at tuning it can eat plugs. The nitro sport I have, back when it was ran, I would say fuel and glowplugs would be 1 gallon 3 weeks. Glow plugs I would say we averaged 2 plugs 3 months. Plugs are 10-20 in hobby shop or 7-10 if you buy a bull 12 pack.

Difficulty wise,if you can do basic car maintenance, you mow your yard, and have a wife nitro wont be difficult. 😝

Thanks a lot, I don't have a real wife just a few pretend ones one of them that happens to be my all time favorite Pokegirl 🤣 😍. I don't think i'll be buying a T-Maxx until next year at the earliest i still want to buy my new iXSR and get my Super Clod Buster first as well as a few other things. Yeah i know 5th scales can be loud i missed my chance to get an idea of one when someone brought one in my local track once. He invited me to see it run but for some reason i turned him down back then wished i didn't sometimes. I can also do as much research as i can to see how to properly tune and run a nitro or gas RC.
