Sounds like a good fix but to be perfectly honest, if I take it all apart "which is a pain in the arse" , then I'm using a new one... :p
It was cheap and on the way.
For future reference 😉 Plastic threads strip on me just about every time I take something apart. It's funny, because the crappy plastic I 3d print with actually holds a screw thread better than RC parts.

Five out of eight mounting holes are stripped on the Tmax..

What happened?? The one you just got, and fixed? That's one of the reason I dont like plastic parts. And metal screw. Can get 3mm threaded push or threaded insert. Or bolt threw.in the 4 that go all the way threw with longer screw and nylon nut or use one of these

I will definitely keep that in mind. I've done the split down the middle zip tie before for a quick fix.

They were already stripped when it was given to me. Rarely do I use a battery powered driver on anything for obvious reasons we can feel it before stripping it.. ;)

Just drill them out and threw bolt them. I actually only use 4 of them to mount the revo tranns to the maxx chassis. Haven't had any problem with just 4

Yes, those inserts are really nice. You just use a soldering iron to melt them in place. My 3d printed guitar uses those.

I didn't think you did it. When I read it. One down fall to plastic.

Yea they make a couple different kinds. Push in. Thread in and epoxy In. But they are very easy and cheap. Can probably find something similar at Lowes homedepot. Or any hardware store

I have one of those large Plano storage boxes full of all different sizes of heat set inserts.

They come in handy some times. Especially with the plastic parts.👍👍

You need to start a gofundme for doing this 😉
Believe me I have thought about that very thing. I've spent probably 1k or more on lipos but what I'm going to do is go ahead and test all these batteries and get the data out there so I have some work to show what the gofundme is actually going to produce. I think people will take it more seriously if I do that. Then I can start testing high end packs as well if I get people donating to the cause.

The traxxas heat exchangers for the rustler finally back in stock, got me a couple. Still waiting on the fan for the motor, due in soon. In the meanwhile will try to get some speed runs in with the 17/54 gearing...
