With a new paint job it will look like this:

but with bigger wheels. lol

Talk about an authentic looking truck body!! Look at the gap between the cab and the bed (2nd pic). See how there is a slight difference in the gap between the top and down and the bottom. I love it dude, just like my 1:1 truck. They all get that when they get old and things start to sag. Either way, your body sits on the frame just like a real truck. Looks great.

thanks,

I plan to have the body sit just a tiny bit above max articulation. I will go with a berg offset wheel eventually to suck the tires in but i will wait until a tear up the current ones.

overall i couldn't be happier with the suspension and link setup.

i don't have the resources around to get the body mounted the way i want so i am heading over to chips house for awhile tonight. gonna eat some chinese and then head back to his place to mount up the body with styrene while the womenfolk chat.

We might check out bumper options as well.

by sunday i am thinking both trucks will be 100% operational with body mounts and all.

he cut some styrene in little rectangles, reamed out the holes for the body posts, glued some hard stuff on the back for support and then set it over the body posts, clipped it tight with body clips and voila. just have to lay velcro over it and its done.

well i was out running last night and i found out the slight tick i had while driving was the spur gear hitting the front output. I apparently forgot to tighten it down all the way so it was wobbling. Luckily i am running the wheely king carbon fiber spur on the axial tranny so it just cut my output a little. After driving on it, the output was loose enough to fall off so i just ran it around in 2wd letting the front shaft flop around. I must say, i had more fun with it in 2wd. With 4wd i was trying to crawl stuff but thats not really what the scaler was built for. Its more of a trail truck and i was having a blast just unloading the front end and running around.

Tonight i am going to drop the 4899Kv motor in it on a 2S and see how she runs. I just have to get it stuck in my head that its a trail truck and not a crawler.

Should i reconnect the front shaft or have a rooster tail throwing, locked, rwd truck?

Imma keep mine locked 4wd, just because i dont wana have to keep getting it out of the soft dirt/leaves if them front wheels arent pulling.

How did you mount your body?

i'm not gonna lock the front completely since it kills my turning. I also don't want to be out there getting the truck either. i'll connect it for now.....
