even with as tired as i was yesterday. i didn't sleep for last night. went to bed at about 9:30 and couldn't go to sleep for nothing. finally fell asleep about 11:30. woke up at 1am. back to sleep about a quarter to 2. then decided to wake up the alarm clock at 5:30.

I hear ya. I got a back issue that is getting in the way of good sleep these days. It's probably been long enough I should call the vet...gonna give it another minute to be self healing anyway

logged into facebook for the first time in a while. idk why, but after seeing a friend suggestion for a guy i knew in high school, and then seeing he was friends with a girl i hung out with in high school. i went through my friends. that was a mistake, i don't have many, and just realized 4 are dead and ones missing cause yeap you guessed it, he's dead. soooo.... ...yeah...

I haven't logged in in probably 3 years. I don't miss it....got some of those dead friends on there. What do you do....do you unfriend people who can't interact with you....do you wait for fb to remind you they aren't around for their next birthday...option c...let fb go on without you

i typically go with C. i log in 3 - 5 times a year. this was i think number 3. never been a fan of social media. always been a bigger fan of living life than promoting my tailored highlight reel.

It doesn't have to be a highlight reel...there are plenty who use it for spectacle and public whining...

Been there done that. Moving 15+properties a day. You sweat then it dries. Do that 3 or 4x and the sweat eventually makes you slimey. Then showering it off its slick like oil.

The lack of love for my home continues.

There was some sort of back room deal that took place between the developer and the city that is now resulting in a condo development going in behind us.

It was supposed to be a church which was supposed to be located on the right side of the property. That construction wasn't supposed to start for another 5 years. Well. Apparently the church backed out and left the lot for sale over the last two years.

A developer purchased it last year.

I heard from one of the big real estate dudes in the neighborhood I befriended over the years, I would walk over to his show home/office with all my problems. He had decent advice.

He disclosed to me that a deal was struck.

The soccer field is now going to be a full fledge park with pickleball courts, basketball courts, etc, paid for by the developer of this condo project.

They haven't started the park that was supposed to be done this summer, the sign is at the undeveloped entrance that says Summer 2026!

So now I have bulldozers and the bone jarring sound of steel tailgates slamming every few minutes when they deliver earth.

This construction is going to go on for probably 12-18 months.

My wife and I are developing a five year plan to get out of this POS house and move to the country.

The Rebuilding This New House series will wrap up with us moving LOL

#@$k I hate being just a little pea in a giant soul crushing pod.

Time to wrench on some tiny trucks with my headphones on and forget the outside world for a bit.

Atleast you have a construction site to play on. I love those for my axial and stampede.

Right now it's a bog that they're trying to fill in so nothing gets left to play on.

I did go to one a few weeks ago that was at the "gravel" stage. That was sweet! Little piles everywhere and I was able to pull off a bulldozer back flip!
