Not gonna worry about it. It's holding air just fine.

I bought my first van in 1979 with the help of my step grandpa. In the first month of ownership I got three flat tires, all of them traveling in our out of our half mile long gravel driveway. At this point my dad and step mom had lived in that house for two years and got no flats at all.

The best flat ever though was in Washougal, WA in 1984. I ran over someone's house key. Imagine driving a half ton van with tires so crappy that an ordinary house key can stab it. I drove directly to a tire shop as the tire was going flat. The key tore up the tire pretty bad, I think I ended up having to buy a new tire, but that was forty-six years ago and I just can't remember for sure.

the chemical spill incident by my work has gotten better maybe (?) the tank has a crack and that's bleeding off pressure. so maybe no explosion (?) but that also means probably a larger chemical spill in the area. so yeah... idk what's going on with work next week and that's a problem because I'm going on vacation the first 2 weeks of June. soooo....
Is this the chemical spill with the some odd 44,000 people asked to evacuate that's been in the news? If so, what do you do there? I'm curious.

that's the one. i don't work for the company with the spill, i work in a building almost literally across the street from it. from our front door to those tanks (in a straight line) is maybe 1000 feet give or take.

That sucks, are you taking personal or vacation time to keep from losing pay?

I've never been prevented from going to work, except by weather, but we'd been locked down a few times, twice when someone called in about one or two people nearby carrying firearms, and once when there was a major natural gas leak downtown just a few blocks away.

I retired at the end of November in 2024 so problem solved.

Now I spend time working on my many hobbies, I'll do RC stuff until winter then maybe get back to renovating old vacuum tube ham receivers, maybe.

I'm using my vacation time first 2 weeks of June. i have no idea about personal time. but the company i work for is very small. its the husband and wife that own the place and I'm there only employee. knowing them ill probably just get paid for the days I'm forced to miss. and even if they don't, a few days isn't a financial burden to me right now so...

took apart a Sega Genesis a while back to diagnose a problem. couldn't fix it at the time, gave up, threw it back together apparently wrong. if i do what seems right i have 2 extra metal pieces. probably some kind of shielding, idk. iv watched 2 videos on how to take them apart and nether one showed the 2 parts i have leftover. so wtf?

I know I vented this last year but I forgot it’s that time of year where my neighbor puts the apartment building in danger and my stress levels go through the roof and grills directly under a patio roof directly against the building. I will be reporting them to the new landlords and the fire department. I took a sneaky photo when they weren’t around to try to show what I mean.

I had a neighbor in Spokane who did that and yes, he caught the building on fire. Thankfully it was the building across the parking lot from the one I lived in at the time.
Thankfully indeed!!!

They should require a license to grill. Lol!

When I hear about things like this, I feel badly. But there's a part of me that is also thinking... burn the porch down with a grill, stick a fork in the toaster, bring the corded radio into the tub so they didn't miss the game.... Its a matter of time for some ppl. 🤣

One of my co-workers left in an ambulance last night. Collapsed at the end of the shift. Not a good sign for a young guy, probably 25yo.
I hope its not as serious as it sounds! 🤞

25 is too young for health problems.

My dad had a stroke yesterday, they kept him overnight, haven't heard anything yet this morning, but my sister says they will probably release him.
