And then, my perfect roof!!!!

I used liquid electrical tape on the led wiring on the roof and it too reacted with the black backer.

Looks like I'm building that roof rack it came with to hide that.

After redoing the LEDs for the third and final time (hence why it's sooo ugly) I can officially say those are done and working.

Calming down now... In reflection, building your own light kits is pretty easy if you have everything. I may just do that more often when I don't really need or want all the functions, just lights on, at their appropriate brightness.

Bump for today's rant:
Called Blue Cross for a couple questions specific to my new for 2026 policy. (Rant #1)
Took almost 15 minutes for somebody I could barely understand to answer the call. (Rant #2)
For one question, the guy actually said out loud - "Let me Google that for you." (Rant #3)

53 minutes later, all I've accomplished is elevated blood pressure.

I had blue cross years ago. Worked for a garage in massachusetts, company was based out of Rochester ny....so all the extra benefits like gym membership discounts were for gyms in the Rochester area. Useless to me, no discount on the insurance for the lack of reasonable access to these benefits. They have always been shady, good luck.

Absolutely.
Rainy & cold here today. Machining out a funky aluminum angle motor mount plate. 6x6 stock. 0.005" flat callout all over, 0.0025" bore.
They bought 2 more CNCs & got em moved & are building an indoor enclosure for the EDM. Been noisy all day, keep thinking the part is going bad in the cut.
Rant over. Other than that, life is good.

I've discovered my new yard stick is significantly more effective at maintaining social distances.

Have you considered the wasp dope meth alternative. Added bonus of being able to make it yourself.

As far as I know you empty a can of wasp killer into a tray, add a conductor, pass electricity through it. Crystals form on the bottom. News stories warn meth addicts to be careful....cause this stuff is really bad for ya....
