Theyre swapping in a "like new" engine with "0" miles. Supposedly the same engine as stock, which is a 4.0 inline 6. 3 year/100k mile warranty. My mom is adamant it's the same engine as stock. I actually have a neighbor who took a 97' tj, cut it in half, added the extra length to make it a LJ 😂. He then ls swapped it
There ya go!

After it got detailed but still....... ?
Per my guys at the shop, cleanest engine oil they ever seen.
Yes, the plastic trim around some of the door handles are gone, this is due to plastic clips that break. due to age. not quality.
Which shows most of a bit of everything (longevity, reliability, issues) is all connected to care, maintenance/maintaining. Not battle of the brands. Sure I might speak alot of GM but thats what I have the most experience with and I'm not biased either so... Just my thoughts. Also had experience with some Honda and Toyo. Good things about them too. some bad things. every brand has their ups and downs. 🤷‍♂️

Very true. I was gonna add that to my response. Engine preference aside, it comes down to how well you treat/maintain your vehicles. Regular maintenance plus preventative maintenance as they age. 😎

Exactly. Someone that gets it!
Most people don't and like to fight about it. I stay chill. with my popcorn. :)

☝🏻 Fixed it for ya. Still a GM motor.
My 1FZ-FE will last longer than I will.
My 2JZ-FE will definately outlast me. So will an old Jeep 4.0 if you keep oil in it. Too soon? Srry.

I'm sure some of you have noticed, but ALL newer vehicles are disposable junk. No one makes cars that last anymore. Its not profitable. The only companies I see even coming close are Toyota and Honda And even they have declined.

We're seeing a massive industry change. I'm fairly certain they haven't found a long term solution yet but plenty of short term ones and the general public (the ones that drive new cars anyway) are the beta testers. Your better off holding on to older vehicles that have already proven to be reliable and invest in keeping them going. Just my .02

Yes absolutely. Which is why I'm a proud owner of my '94 Land Cruiser. The build quality on it is much more impressive than our newer vehicles.

Exactly. Because ideally no one can go out and buy a NEW NEW car because it's so expensive. Bc it's so expensive and they do go on with "owning" one they'll get it repo'ed in no time bc they can't afford those high monthly payments. More of an economy rant rather than manufacturing but still... Anytime I post a new issue I have with a family car, Some people on here say to me, time to get a new car... Like what? No? Do you not see how modern cars are being made and the modern economy? I don't get it. Even newer pre-owned USED cars. The market is just, done. It's shot. And with how it's going there is no likely chance of trying to revive past due errors in government. I'm guessing that about half of the US population doesn't get that, that owning a older car and keeping it running is a lot more cheaper and reliable than getting just a new car.

I don't tend to get political but you can see the connections back to manufacturing.

I mean if you have the money, sure go for it but if you don't have the money it's kinda pointless in having a modern new car you know. Bc of that high monthly payments you have, higher insurance. And what if your model gets a recall? Or potential engine failure? Modern GM truck engines been, ehh. But iffy on that term...

I've seriously had enough of ebay sellers selling items they don't have in stock, then waiting days to let me know. I've been waiting for it to arrive but they haven't even sent it, as they don't even have it. I could have ordered it from a different seller in the meantime, if they were upfront about it.

Sellers, DON'T SELL SOMETHING YOU DON'T HAVE. It's that simple.

😡🤬😤

Rant over
And it just happened again. They didn't even bother to contact me. Only half the order arrived. I wouldn't have gone through with the order if I had of know. The postage was more that the single item I received.

And they probly won’t leave you good feedback until they see YOU leave good feedback.. 🙄

Got a jar of peanut butter. Decided to treat myself to some boujee natural stuff… never again. This Teddie’s salted peanut butter has zero flavor. It’s like someone ate a peanut and breathed into a jar of mashed potato’s. If a seltzer was peanut butter flavored, it would taste like this.

Give me back my hydrogenated palm oil and sugar. I don’t care how unhealthy my jar of jiffy is if the alternative is this.

Hey, Escorts were great cars!
Our dealership made a crap load of money fixin 'em! 🤣
I had a 1988 Escort GT hatchback. Got 33mpg. I drove it for many years, even to Myrtle Beach one time. No one boosted it 🤣 I worked on it alot. It was terrible in the rain.
