We had to find a new home for our puppy. He minds me pretty good, but at our store she says she cannot get him to mind. One one hand, I love my wife, and she's one of the hardest working people I know. On the other hand, I don't understand how you can run a business, but not get a 14lb dog to mind you. I'm a weird mess of a mix of incredibly sad and pissed off. And I feel like I shouldn't be mad about this. It's the right thing to do for the dog. But I can't help it, I feel like she just gave up on him and isn't willing to make him mind.

I'm gonna miss the little guy big time. He's curled up right next to me on the couch as I type this. I've had to give away every dog I've ever had due to moving when I was a kid. I figured once we bought our place, I could have a dog. But, that's not the case.

He is going to a great home, a friend from work with lots of property, kids and another dog to play with. So we will have a great life, just without us.

No more animals for me. Too heartbreaking saying goodbye, one way or the other you will always have to do that. And I just can't do it anymore.

That sucks big blue Nordy toys!

I get it though.

My wife and I agreed not to have any more dogs after Sammy... we're simply too old to give a pup the (play-time / outdoors fun) life they deserve.

Well I seen this daily rant thread and decided to throw in a bitch about an esc/motor combo I bought 2 yrs. ago that ended up being complete garbage. It was my first year at outdoor racing and I wanted to get a motor/esc that would be cheap enough for a rookie to beat up but also half ass competitive too. My lhs owner suggested a skyrc leopard esc and 3700kw motor, so I got him to order it in and when it came I installed it and when I went to practice on Saturday before the races started made it about2 laps and all seemed well and then all of a sudden it just stopped working.a Marshall brought it back to the pit area and I took the body off my sc10 and Holy poop!!! The f@*ing end cap of the motor with the pinion attached was still bolted to the mount but the rest of the motor was not!!!! How in the holy hell does this even happen?!?! And how can they sell this crap as a race ready combo, to make matters worse the esc lasted about a month with another motor when it just started chattering, I tried different motors and it still did it so I know it was the esc!!! Complete garbage. And for all you folks that are thinking why didn't you take it back on the warranty, I tried but the company that they ordered from said it was a discontinued combo and would not be warrantied. So I guess it's a triple rant really. Crap motor/esc combo , poop company warranty service and I'm kinda also a bit upset at my lhs for recommending and selling it to me. Thankfully I don't live in that town or race anymore so I don't have to worry about going through the same thing again. Fingers crossed šŸ¤ž that's my rant for today thanks for read

My wife and I decided the same thing. We love our boy but he's a 175lb. Boat anchor. He's amazing and we'll miss him dearly and we love dogs but we would also love to travel before we get too old and unfortunately that's very difficult when you have a dog, or any animal for that matter. I don't even like to think about when his time with us is over right now but that's a fact of life and we've decided that's it after him šŸ˜”

Early Leopard motors are known for debonding magnets. They do not like heat at all… whatever cheap glue they use just falls apart beyond 160°f. You have to gear them really really conservatively if you want them to last.

Newer leopard motors aren’t too bad. I’ve ran a few 4274 leopard motors with good luck. But, they’re not nearly as powerful as the equivalent Hobbywing or castle motor. Classic case of you get what ya pay for. If you want a budget, competitive ā€œrace specā€ motor look at Turnigy sensored motors with a hobbywing ESC. Hobbywing Justock combos are pretty good too and relatively cheap.

I throw’d up at work last night. I hate puking… it’s one of my least favorite human responses. Calling out for tonight was a miserable experience since I’m on nights and the one other person that can cover my shift refuses overtime. He’s well within his rights to do so… but, there’s a limited number of us that can actually do the job that we do. The in field operators can’t do this job without extensive training and licensing… so in a way we are held to a higher standard. But oh well…

One of the other shift engineers that works days is going to destroy his sleep schedule and work two days of nights. I’m extremely grateful… I’ve had to do exactly what he did. I know how it feels and I feel bad for him. At least I have a couple days off… just wish it was for better circumstances 🤢

Sorry to hear, feeling guilty is just as bad as feeling sick, but you can't help when your sick, feel better.

Buy that man a case of beer, cigars, gift card to a steakhouse, whatever. Yeah, switching sleep schedules like that is rough man. Helluva guy.

Hope this passes soon. Get well.

its so muggy right now that its only 71 degrees but I'm drenched in sweat after spending 40 minutes doing some light yard work.

It's currently 92° here, but feels like 106° the firey pits of hell. I can't even stay outside long enough for a smoke. I don't remember any day before this that ever felt this hot outside.

This weekend will be the only cold breathable days. It's been so terribly hot recently that it took me 8 days to drill 8 holes in the roof of my new room and I'm not kidding
You know drain holes go in the floor, not in the roof, right? 😲🤣

These 20mm hw fans suck
Blade just ejects out
Going on my 3rd fan šŸ™„

Can't fit 25 or 30mm ones due to the case design. Not really a market for 20mm RC fans, unless it's for PCs and stuff. So I guess Ill stick with HW. Learned from the HW group that to put a zip tie around the fan as a guard.

LOL I'm not moving into a new home, just switching everyone's rooms since my sister has had the largest one for like 3 years now, and suddenly accepted she's only there 2 days a week. By pure coincidence she happens to be on vacation with my mom, so me and dad get to enjoy all of the process of moving furniture from different floors, painting rooms and window frames, while having to take breaks every 15 minutes or we melt🤮
I had a pull-up bar in my previous room, but my dad wanted one as well, so he gets it and I got another one

My largest reason to switch rooms is so I can move all my RCs from the living room, since the hobby has been expanding quite a bit for the past three years🤣

Sounds like you could build a track in Sis' room and she'd never know! 😲🤣

Our living room, family room, basement, garage and 1 bathroom are ALL considered 'the RC room' here now. šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļøšŸ¤£
