We had a gas main break here. They evacuated the houses in that area for a couple days til they fixed it.
I think they're from MI.This post reminded me of this video I saw today.
Sounds like youāve managed to go through all 7 stages of grief in a 5 hour period over a game boy.smoked a mostly functioning Game Boy i just got off ebay. was doing a back lit scene mod and had it installed and working, even did a bivert mod and it was good, but the screen had some horizontal lines out. i know how to fix that no big deal. until the damn case slipped and the soldering iron hit the ribbon cable attached to the screen. now it's smoked! so that was $40something well spent.
every part of the project fought me. i should have stopped after getting the reflective film off the back of the screen. even that fought me, came off in 2 layers, reflective foil and the plastic its attached to. didn't know it could do that.
i might be able to change the screen, need to look into it. i know there are numerous screen mods for those. hoping i can still use the board and just replace the screen with something more modern (and back lit)
then to cap it off vertical lines went out on my old Game Boy (the one iv had sense i was a kid) which was odd cause it worked fine a week ago. while fixing that i spent 5 minutes doing more harm than good. until, like magic, it just seemed to self heal. like wtf. it has one line out on the left border and i just don't care.
so that's how the last 5 hours of my life has gone.![]()
i can assure you I'm still very much in the anger stage.Sounds like youāve managed to go through all 7 stages of grief in a 5 hour period over a game boy.
That takes dedication to the craft!
I tore my son's phone completely apart for about the 5th time tonight. I wasn't in the best shape to do it, but after he cracked his screen a couple weeks ago, tonight it stopped working. Yeah, that needs to get on the bench. To be honest, I keep forgetting to order the parts needed to complete it when payday comes.Who is it that has that Orlandoo stuff waiting to be assembled?![]()
been there done that. fixed my old LG after dropping it and breaking the screen. it wasn't hard but it was tedious. several small parts and stuff stuck in with double sided tape that had to be removed carefully.I tore my son's phone completely apart for about the 5th time tonight. Scary part was last time, a couple components had to be glued in. Getting those tiny circuit boards out was scary. But we got it. All you guys complaining about small scale being a pain to work on need to tear every component out of a cell phone and put it back together![]()
This micheal rc in Altamonte Springs?I got my refund from the broken bag and then michaelsrchobbies proceeds to block me for no reason. How petty to you have to be to do that?
