Here is my rant for the day and I'm sure most of you have experienced this or is as we speak.
I live in a little single wide trailer on a nice property. It's cheap and my wife and I have made it our home almost 13 years ago.
It will be paid off in about 7 or 8 years, "can't remember which" but soon.
I take pride in my yard and work in it as much as my health will allow.
I keep the clutter either out of the yard or tucked away so nobody can see it.
By clutter I mean my gold prospecting equipment and shooting bench.
Only I can see it and it isn't that bad.
My problem is with my neighbors, THEY DON'T TAKE CARE OF THEIR YARDS AND DON'T PICK UP THE DOG CRAP.
Both neighbors have boys in their 20s still living at home and they don't do chit around their houses.

Start crapping in your front yard and not cleaning it up. See how long it takes for ppl to start caring.

No HOA kind of agreement or management to talk to? If you're in a community, you'd think there would be something.
I had too much stuff for us to move to a trailer we looked at a while back. The RULES said so.

My yard is totally overgrown and really nice right now. An HOA would freak! No HOA here tho.

Poop everywhere here too but the grass is way too tall to ever see!
None of the poop is mine BTW.

(Our yard is big and in the woods too. No one can see.)

The fact that they have 20 yo boys at home that are too busy playing video games is just insane. Crazy how danged lazy most parents are today. I'm 16 myself. We don't have a dog but I have 5 siblings lol. We live deep in the country though so our little mess isn't seen by others. All our mess is just like bikes and stuff. Can't even imagine having actual crap laying around.

Is it possible plant hedges or something similar so you don't have to see their yards. Can't help with the dog poop.

The house next door to us is a rental. The people there are really nice, but the owner hires the cheapest yard care people. They mow the weeds down once a week but don't edge so there is a perimeter of tall weeds around the mowed weeds. The sad part is that before it became a rental it was the nicest yard on the block.

I lived in HOA in Vegas... nope. Not for me.
I bet no RC cars in the street there.
Never tried.

My son and his wife bought a home that was HOA, and it was shocking the amount of stipulation was put on it.
You can put up a fence but only the kind we tell you to. Fug that..

They were very upset to find that the bylaws allow for residents to fix their vehicles in their driveways.
Actually had a lady, paid to drive a golf cart around and wrote tickets fir too many weeds, too many pine cones... omfg!!!
No more! Never again!

We don't even have local cops in our town.

I couldn't do that. Any hoa probably doesn't want me to shoot the groundhog...it's a problem...not just one, but many groundhogs, one after the other...the new one just wiped out my beens and peas and half the cucumbers.

I got a bunch of them groundhogs. I went to the Chevron & bought them THC9 gummies, 2 packs, & scattered them all around the ground holes. They slept for days. I've been pinging them w/ my 1200fps pellet gun, inside the city limits or they would receive the Ruger SR40.

I got a bunch of them groundhogs. I went to the Chevron & bought them THC9 gummies, 2 packs, & scattered them all around the ground holes. They slept for days. I've been pinging them w/ my 1200fps pellet gun, inside the city limits or they would receive the Ruger SR40.

Note: I did not partake in said gummies. I didn't want to use the green pellet poison from Tractor Supply, all my neighbors have cool orange cats. The cats might have spun up some of the gummies, who knows, but I didn't want to hurt the cats. The chipmunks are all gone.

So, still RC related here, more track related but its a rant-ish so I'll show it here. All that I have to say is that - it is very, very sad to see this track go.
Badlands RC, Myrtle Beach SC (down south near Surfside Beach, in the area of Socastee. Track has been there more than I believe 20 years. Served as the main track for the Fall Brawl yearly race. BeachRC owned it for I don't know how long since the original owners had enough but all that I know is that BeachRC gave up/opted out on the track late 2023, moving the Fall Brawl to a new track in NC. I believe Brent said that the county wanted too much legal things and did not renew the contract so that's that. The track is located in a public/county park. Since then there is a small FB group of about 90 members. Although the track is not owned by anybody and is a unsanctioned track, a group does try to up keep the track. But according to the group/admins that they haven't kept up maintenance since March, due to the heat which I can understand. Also because there is little funding into it, which I also understand.
Here are pics comparing the track conditions from this May, to today. Also a friend of mine posted a video of the track the other morning showing off the condition. Weeds/grass growing everywhere. Pit lane and most likely the small pit area under the driverstand is filled with weeds. Track holds water and mud badly. And the dirt is so flat that it probably doesn't have that groove/traction anymore to begin with. Was looking forward to checking out this track next week but in this condition, either if its sunny or rain, I just had to say no. Because its not maintained and cleaned up. Although its free to use and accessible to use during park hours, I just can't go. Especially since its about 30 miles away from where we are staying so 60 miles round trip and just to not have that fun with a watery track, yea no. I emailed the county directly a few weeks ago, not sure if I already posted it here or not but they said they is planned demolition for the track but they do not know when. I mean I get it, it has been sitting there half-ly unused since late 2023 and no true ownership of it, but the county messed it all up in the first place so that's why BeachRC had to opt out, also because of funding issues too.
Just sad to see this track go.
BeachRCs indoor track also closed up too, they just moved into a new building strictly for the shop so I still plan to check that out but for anyone that lives in the Myrtle Beach area most likely has to drive more inland, or to NC for a good track.

Update on that, I found a post in one of the slash groups I'm in on FB and someone went there today and heres that same water puddle. With that, yep, to me, not worth the 60 mile round trip for that... Super ultra sad.
Atleast OP had fun there. I said, yea, I've been racing for 3 years, having a dirty car to me is not good. Especially bc I'm out on vaca and don't have proper cleaning tools. (Because my grandma and mom will say no on taking a muddy car into the condo. Lol)

It seems like if a person with a shovel dug out the middle 'turn marshall' area and filled in the hole in the track with the dug sand, problem solved.
Prob not many sand shovels at the beach though.

What a shame!!!
