They were very upset to find that the bylaws allow for residents to fix their vehicles in their driveways.
Actually had a lady, paid to drive a golf cart around and wrote tickets fir too many weeds, too many pine cones... omfg!!!
No more! Never again!

We don't even have local cops in our town.

Exactly why my wife and I love our little place. It's small but it's cool in the summer and warm in the winter.
For the most part it's quiet.

I think the idea of moving north sounds good but the reality of colder winters and more snow removal sort of crushes the idea.
Less ppl, less traffic, less tourists.

This place is not too bad really.

I couldn't do that. Any hoa probably doesn't want me to shoot the groundhog...it's a problem...not just one, but many groundhogs, one after the other...the new one just wiped out my beens and peas and half the cucumbers.

We live in a small town and I love it.
I can go on my bike ride and not see a single person unless I cross the highway.

Our area has paved roads that have grass growing from the cracks in the asphalt.

Our paved roads have no shoulder or paint. Some of the drop-offs on the roads are quite scary. (2-3ft) People drive like they're late for work all day long, but whatever.

Our road is a 'cut thru' road to avoid some traffic.
Mostly locals use it and its very quiet. At rush hour and weekends, it can become a drag strip too though.
I don't mind ppl having fun but this road is not safe for 2 cars doing 50mph head on. Blind curves, driveways, ppl...
There are tracks and places to have fun and be safe very locally.

Walking our dog is best left for off hours in case of flying asshats.

Can be a rant. Because it took so long to start but my bridge has finally started demolition. Which would probably take another 2 years. And they say a new bridge would be done by Fall of 2028. Not gonna happen with our governor that takes Moore and Moore money out of every persons pocket.

And they're MANUALLY demo-ing it. Why? I have no idea. I commented on it saying they should have blown it up. Would be ultra fast process if they done that route... But they don't because the government rarely listens to their people.

Can't believe its been over a year and a half since I've been over there that side of the city/county. Now we all have to take boring crowded tunnels. Especially with the people that can't drive.

Used to take just 15 minutes to get to my LHS. Now it takes over 45 because of that. And sadly it would be like that for the next 5-10 years I would assume.

so apparently UPS dropped off a package to my work and left it by the door at 5pm Tuesday. well we leave at 4pm. there's apparently a picture of the package sitting by our door. and they're denying any responsibility for us not getting it. our normal UPS guy knows we leave at 4, and any time he's had to make an early AM delivery and we weren't here he doesn't leave the package, he leaves a thing on the door saying he was here and at what time even though he just delivers it when he makes his normal delivery between 10:30 and noon. so we're having a hard time believing it was delivered, at least by him. this sounds fishy. and it was kind of an expensive package to not get. Well, that's an easy fix. Just marry it. That will stop it from going down.
