Happy Birthday @332_RC !

Idk why maybe its just me but it looks like the Jato body height compared to the wing makes it more low profile looking than other traditional "1/8 scale" buggies. Idk if its because they're using a 10th scale based plastic chassis and components or what. Or maybe just the height of the body and wing. That is from pictures atleast.

Thanks David!
In person, the VXL wing & scale is not as out of perspective as the pics make it look. The wing really isn't that large picking it up & it's flatter down than it looks. The tires are actually kinda good. Very light but big enough to grip around, ya know? Overall, the architecture is basic & simple. One clip battery closer, & 4 push tabs, hidden under the body, quick release clips. The push test & rebound, nice. It's a small 1/8. All plastic, but aluminum shocks. Big C hub & tie rods. Idk. Honestly I stood there picking it & messing with it, thinking, I bet this thing will scoot & jump good.

Rant: Yesterday while I was on my journey, I stopped in a Harbor Freight to look at a $19.95 heat gun. Looked really cheap. One on display. Switch was garbage. Huge & bulky. Just seemed like junk. Another RCT member said his was a AutoZone one for $35, iirc, neon green. I'll go check that out.

more dumbass customers want coils that are encapsulated. did the entire country wake up Monday morning and decided to try to piss me off or something? working with this 💩 when the warehouse is 54 degrees doesn't work well.

At HF, the Warrior brand is ok if want to use it for 5min once a year. The Brauer brand one is much, much higher quality. I have a Brauer brand plug-in leaf blower, and it's as powerful as a gas blower. One of the best $65 I've ever spent!

I have HF jack stands because YOLO BITCHZZZZ!!! 🤣🤣🤣
I have a few HF pieces. I bought that transmission jack and the engine brace when we blew the hole in the Focus trans.
Brace was more than enough to hang the engine from topside and the jack required a ratchet strap to hold the trans on the table at a wonk angle.
An engine hoist to lift and lower from top would be how to do the job if I had more space.
Considering I used the jack at an extreme angle, I think it did well.
I have used other trans jacks far nicer too though.
I use their expendable stuff too. Pick tools and pry bars that WILL get beat on too.

My evening commute was crap. Got behind somebody doing 25 mph in a 50 mph zone with no headlights in the dark and in the rain. Finally got a chance to go around them and the truck in the next lane decided to slow down and pace them.
