6 Days of dealing with a sick kid and sick myself has me ready to pull my damned hair out. Worst Christmas break ever for my poor kiddo. He has gone a day here and there where he seemed to get much better, only to get worse again. Throwing up, cough, etc. Please let it end!

Never heard of anybody having a problem with the word kiddo. That's a pretty common word. Then again, not even sure why it needed to be brought up here. It's what I call my son. I don't care what you call your kid. So 🤷‍♂️

6:00pm rolled around so I went out to start my truck to let it warm up. Friggin crank position sensor went out AGAIN and it wouldn't start. Just cranked until the battery died. This has happened before and usually if it cranks long enough, it'll pop off... battery just didn't have the juice to crank for that long. To top it off, temps dropped into the -30's today, so it was COLD.

Roomate came out and we hooked jumper cables up to it, the battery voltage dropped enough that GM's fantastic passlock system forgot the keys chip. It would start and then immidietly die. :rage: I then spent the next hour and a half going through a passlock relearn procedure just to get it started.... all outside in the cold. My new servo came in the mail, so I was actually looking forward to coming home on time. I'm driving the "summer" car to work tomorrow I suppose and I'll have to get my yearly CPS sensor from the auto parts store. Gotta love 90's GM engineering! 😂

i would say the bigger issue is that -30 degree temp ........ That BS right there is a major red flag....... Heck I'm in the southern most tip of Texas right now ... and we are suppose to be in the 40-50 range in the comming days during this el nino .... and that has everyone here freaking out and preparing for a deep freeeze like its the artic!!!! ...... I hate anything below 65 !!!!!

Bought a Camaro in '89. Drove it out of the showroom with 16 miles on the odometer. That evening I went to my local pool hall. Parked next to the building, and when I went get out, I put my foot down and got a door slammed into my leg because the car was rolling backwards. Shift linkage came loose.

3 other trips to the dealership in the first week later, I was driving it home and decided to take a drive through the park. Got all the way back in the park and the car died. A wall of smoke poored out of the dash, completely filling the car. Turns out there was no grommet at all on the main harness going through the firewall. The dealership was closed, and after throwing a fit on the phone with their answering service lady, the owner sent a tow truck. He was at the dealership when I got there and sent me home in a new S10 pickup, which lasted a day before it died.

Got the car back a week later. Then the paint started peeling a few months after that. Took 8 paint jobs to fix it properly. Cassette player started eating tapes, shift linkage came loose again, dash started vibrating loose, etc etc. It was my first brand new car and I was only 18. Never bought another GM product after that.

I had a laugh to myself yesterday. I heard an old lady complaining about how dangerous the new electric scooters are because they are so quiet and you can't hear them coming. I thought to myself, I bet you also complained that they were too loud when they had 2-stroke engines. 😆🤦🏻‍♂️

I certainly feel like a dinosaur today. I'm sore (saur) and exhausted.😩

I'm sure there's a joke in there somewhere. 😆
