You not have a shock tool? If not grab an old spoon that the wife won’t string you up over, set the pivot ball on a hard surface you don’t care about putting little circles in, place the rod end over the pivot ball, and under the spoon, and press. Donezo. If ya wanna be anal about it, there’s a lightly visible ring around the big end; have that side facing up so that it doesn’t pass/stretch over the pivot ball. Jared Tebo, and several others say there’s a difference.. I’ve done it both ways without any issues, but admit I do try to do it that way these days.

I use this for ball cups to put on tie rods. Makes it so much easier. But for rod ends like for the shocks, I use shock pliers to hold the shaft in place, and then I twist the rod end until its at the top of the threads on the bottom of the shaft.

I install the rod ends onto the rods before I install the pivots in the ends.
I use a small crescent wrench to hold the rod end at the eyelet ( where pivot snaps in).

It's for Axial Ryft links. Too big for normal 10th scale links. But you can buy them online.

my rant for the day, I realized the thickness difference between slash wheels and tekno wheels and the slash wheels are thicker at the hub so the wheel nuts can’t get the locking part to thread
