Cooked shrimp up. Sposed to be deviened but these are more full of chit tgen a politician.
Sounds like there was a greenhorn on that "assembly" line. Shouldn't be anything in a cold blooded, marine creatures' GI tract that can cause issue in a warm blooded wookie.

Walmart has Windows 10 laptops on 'clearance' right now!!!

No way!!!! I can spend $300 on a WITHOUT QUESTION, 100% CONFIRMED PIECE OF EWASTE???!!! Wait, does it come with a camera that someone else controls??? It DOES???!!!

FAAAAAAAAAABULOUS!!!! 🙄🤯🤬

Recently, I've tried to get back into gaming now that the snow is hitting and RC'n has slowed down a bit. I've tried so many games on steam the last couple weeks and the "Dark Souls" and "Dragon Age" formula has been so overused at this point, games like Elden Ring and Baldurs Gate just feel like generic games with no purpose, other than to benchmark your $1,000+ PC and to ooo and ahh at the graphics. I haven't found a modern "RPG" that even feels like a new game in at least 10 years. Unreal Engine 5 has just exasperated this issue by making every game that uses the engine feel even more generic.

I LOVE fantasy rpg's, but I'm getting really tired of looking at the same unoptimized 3rd person dark souls/dragon age clones. Is this really what gaming is in 2025? It sucks and it's really making me regret this gaming PC purchase.

Any sub $600 laptop is certified E-waste. Low end hardware hastily slapped together inside of a creaky plastic case, with a mountain of bloatware preinstalled on it that nets you *maybe* 2 years of use before its performance is so bad that you are forced to buy another one. That's assuming the case or hinge hasn't self destructed before then. 😂

When I bought my toilet laptop, I actually asked the ppl if there is a 'better' 'durable' option and the resounding answer was no. I think there was even a snicker or 2 from a sad little Staples elf.
Right before they sold me a lenovo with junk hinges. Right from the damned box, this thing was junk. Got dicked around by the staff for almost a year before I snapped in the store and started yelling THIS IS BULLSHIT!!! after they refused to fix it AGAIN... 🤬🤬🤬🤯🤯🤯

Guess who left with a new laptop that day???

Either that or I was going to jail for assault with a deadly laptop!

Ewaste hardly covers it!!! Computers, cars, tvs, phones, fridges... planned obsolescence. No right to repair...

ALL Ewaste now. 😐

Microsoft WAS right... Windows 10 WAS the last Windows OS I'll buy! 🤣

Look at framework laptops. Little spendy… but the company supports and even participates in the right to repair movement. All their laptops are upgradable, easily repairable, they sell all parts, they have easy to follow repair guides, etc. You can get them as pre assembled with an OS or you can get them as a kit where you assemble the laptop and load your own OS. They will even preload it with Linux if you want.

Probably the ONLY laptop manufacturer that doesn't screw you around. Once my MacBook m1 air dies (if it ever does, this has actually been the most solid computer I’ve ever owned), a framework 14 will be the replacement.

I may check those out. Need a PC for a racing sim rig.

so my Amain order was supposed to be here Thursday. then got an email saying it would be coming later than expected. few hours later got an email saying it would be coming sooner than expected. after checking the estimated delivery on that one it said Friday. so naturally Saturday rolls around and it's saying it'll be here before 9pm Saturday. as of 7pm Saturday it was still in Arizona. checked tracking this morning and it got into LA at 2am. so i guess it'll be here tomorrow? kinda need the parts yesterday or today. this totally buggers up next weeks plans for that truck.

recently my dad began sending me AI generated animal videos, and out of pure reflex I just thumbs down reacted to basically every single one of them (AI generated videos in general have always fallen into that uncanny valley section for me, and I am generally just not a fan of how overly glossy/clean they look), today was a bit different though. I thumbs down reacted to the videos he sent me and he asked me what was wrong, then I began watching a few of them and thought they were nothing but a bit of harmless fun

and yet the mainstream social media has basically shaped anything AI generated to be essentially forces of evil and must be stopped at all costs, with discourse being either for or against with basically no inbetween, then I realized that social media has so effectively normalized tribalism where something's either good or bad and nuance is basically frowned upon. I should start heavily curating the stuff that comes into my social media feed one day even though I barely use it nowadays because the recommended content is just...yuck, and also some people should really just put down their phone and go outside rather than being miserable and complaining on social media all day

in other words, browsing through potential candidates for a 1/8th scale pro level ebuggy and I still can't make my mind up

AI is just a scapegoat for the real issues that none of us want to face. Recognise the enemy and it gets much easier to follow this nonsense. 😉

sitting here at work with nothing to do, started to fall asleep. my jaw dropped open, i let out a rather loud snore and now I'm wide awake. :hehe:
Better than headbutting your workbench! 🤣

i swear the universe is just trying to piss me the F off.
this morning i hit every stinking ass red light. most waited just long enough for me to come to a complete stop and then went green. got stuck behind 2 MF'ers dragging there ass 10+ below the speed limit.

and the rest of this week was supposed to be easy going, getting random stuff done and caught up cause the boss will be gone. and then UPS showed up. it seems our pain in the ass customers all decided to ship in motors at once. and my boss has his hair on fire about it. so iv got 7 F'ing motors and gearboxes to disassemble, clean and reassemble. there's a day, at best, at the solvent tank, so tomorrows gone. I'm sure ill walk in the door and the paint booth will be full of BS busy work for stock we don't need, so ill have that to deal with.
meanwhile we've got at least 2 bobbins i need to spend at least a day a piece on running the injection molder. and we're insanely low on brass sleeves for one of our most common parts. probably not getting to one of those bobbins and probably won't make many sleeves. I'm sure that won't bite us in the ass when its most inconvenient. cause that never happens right?

and now there's a customer coming tomorrow that ill have to deal with. i get to explain why our version is different than the original and how to install our version. which frankly is about as self explanatory as flushing a toilet. and I'm guessing sense southern california and this being a manual labor job that the guy won't speak English for crap so that'll be fun.

so yeah...

traffic getting home kinda sucked. and then i had to listen to a damn low flying helicopter for like 20 minutes.
plane crashed in the park walking distance from me. used to run RC cars in the baseball fields across the street from where this happened. and iv seen that plane flying around as well. so yeah...
