Sounds like there was a greenhorn on that "assembly" line. Shouldn't be anything in a cold blooded, marine creatures' GI tract that can cause issue in a warm blooded wookie.Cooked shrimp up. Sposed to be deviened but these are more full of chit tgen a politician.
Any sub $600 laptop is certified E-waste. Low end hardware hastily slapped together inside of a creaky plastic case, with a mountain of bloatware preinstalled on it that nets you *maybe* 2 years of use before its performance is so bad that you are forced to buy another one. That's assuming the case or hinge hasn't self destructed before then.Walmart has Windows 10 laptops on 'clearance' right now!!!
No way!!!! I can spend $300 on a WITHOUT QUESTION, 100% CONFIRMED PIECE OF EWASTE???!!! Wait, does it come with a camera that someone else controls??? It DOES???!!!
FAAAAAAAAAABULOUS!!!!![]()
When I bought my toilet laptop, I actually asked the ppl if there is a 'better' 'durable' option and the resounding answer was no. I think there was even a snicker or 2 from a sad little Staples elf.Any sub $600 laptop is certified E-waste. Look at framework laptops. Little spendy… but the company supports and even participates in the right to repair movement. All their laptops are upgradable, easily repairable, they sell all parts, they have easy to follow repair guides, etc. You can get them as pre assembled with an OS or you can get them as a kit where you assemble the laptop and load your own OS. They will even preload it with Linux if you want. When I bought my toilet laptop, I actually asked the ppl if there is a 'better' 'durable' option and the resounding answer was no. Right before they sold me a lenovo with junk hinges. Right from the damned box, this thing was junk. Got dicked around by the staff for almost a year before I snapped in the store and started yelling THIS IS BULLSHIT!!! after they refused to fix it AGAIN...
Guess who left with a new laptop that day???
Either that or I was going to jail for assault with a deadly laptop!
Ewaste hardly covers it!!! Computers, cars, tvs, phones, fridges... planned obsolescence. No right to repair...
ALL Ewaste now.
Microsoft WAS right... Windows 10 WAS the last Windows OS I'll buy!![]()
I may check those out. Need a PC for a racing sim rig.Look at framework laptops. Little spendy… but the company supports and even participates in the right to repair movement. Probably the ONLY laptop manufacturer that doesn't screw you around. Once my MacBook m1 air dies (if it ever does, this has actually been the most solid computer I’ve ever owned), a framework 14 will be the replacement.
AI is just a scapegoat for the real issues that none of us want to face. Recognise the enemy and it gets much easier to follow this nonsense.recently my dad began sending me AI generated animal videos, and out of pure reflex I just thumbs down reacted to basically every single one of them (AI generated videos in general have always fallen into that uncanny valley section for me, and I am generally just not a fan of how overly glossy/clean they look), today was a bit different though. I thumbs down reacted to the videos he sent me and he asked me what was wrong, then I began watching a few of them and thought they were nothing but a bit of harmless fun
and yet the mainstream social media has basically shaped anything AI generated to be essentially forces of evil and must be stopped at all costs, with discourse being either for or against with basically no inbetween, then I realized that social media has so effectively normalized tribalism where something's either good or bad and nuance is basically frowned upon. I should start heavily curating the stuff that comes into my social media feed one day even though I barely use it nowadays because the recommended content is just...yuck, and also some people should really just put down their phone and go outside rather than being miserable and complaining on social media all day
in other words, browsing through potential candidates for a 1/8th scale pro level ebuggy and I still can't make my mind up

Better than headbutting your workbench!sitting here at work with nothing to do, started to fall asleep. my jaw dropped open, i let out a rather loud snore and now I'm wide awake.![]()
