needed a little fire to get a job done. busted out the propane torch. fresh 14oz bottle. after 90 seconds of use i unscrewed the torch from the bottle. damn bottle is leaking and won't stop. put the torch back on the bottle, leak stops. bottle with torch on it won't fit in the cabinet.
so i ether have to leave the torch on the bottle out on the workbench in the way. or leave the bottle out in the yard until it leaks out and throw the bottle away, thus wasting 13+oz of propane cause i don't have any screw on caps and the plastic cap that came on the bottle don't do .
kinda pissed about it.

I highly believe that Horizon is getting like Radiolink. They are deleting anything negative about them on any product posts on socials.

I replied to another person that commented, not directly on the post. A few minutes after it said this page is not available and when I searched up Proline on my FB it didn't pop up for me so... I checked their page on a guest mode and it said that there was 5 comments on that post but none showed up meaning either they deleted all of them or Meta/FB AI deleted them. But still doesn't explain why the page doesn't pop up for me on my end. Lol. Can't believe brands these days. And here's the other thing, the other 4 people on the same post were also talking the same smack I was.

I look at this as a good thing to a degree. The hobby needed a purge and gross disregard for customer service and/or quality from the giants opens the door for the little guys to compete. Horizon has flat out destroyed the legacy of many brands over the years and can barely keep Losi alive. They’re destined for a reality check soon… I can seriously see them going to way of HPI in the next decade if they don’t improve.

I can believe I’m saying this… but, RedCat of all companies are really starting to figure things out that the big names have forgotten about. I used to hate on the obsessively and after buying my Kaiju, I haven’t had a better experience in a long time TBH. The platform is solid and RedCat actively addresses issues across their product line now. They also respond to issues quickly… their customer service team deserves a pat on the back. Even FMS has evolved quite a bit and their cars are getting pretty competitive with the big guys. I’m about to dump the big names… I’ll keep a couple Traxxas cars around like the sledge and mini max for the long term parts support. But I’m seriously considering offloading the horizon and other Traxxas products. The SCX30 is really tempting, but the Ascent 32 is right around the corner as well and it honestly looks better.

Its nice that Horizon has corralled all the brands that I won't buy under one giant roof... otherwise, the whole 'giant corp greed' thing has never had a place in this hobby.
This hobby isn't big enough to support google but Horizon's mega mogul all under one roof model is exactly the same as alphabet's business model.
Buy them ALL up Make them as cheap and profitable as possible, if it works, great, if not, gut the company and who cares? We own the competition too...
Its a monopoly without actually being one.
Like duratrax paint is now actually relabelled proline??? ( not 100% sure ) but its a fitting example of how we lost a bunch of options... now we get the same 6 colors in 3 different sized cans with 2 different labels.

But I’m seriously considering offloading the horizon and other Traxxas products.

I don't like selling used things like this because it IS possible that I'll miss something broke or wrong and for that, paypal gets involved and guess who gets screwed.

I have 4 RCs on my shelf behind me that I doubt I'll ever run again. I think I'm more likely to give them to a kid at a park one day... the kid who always wanted but never had one... THAT kid.

Maybe I'll find someone with a bunch of Kyosho who wants to do some trading...

I am done supporting companies that don't support me. Tariffs might drive me out of the hobby entirely. Not interested in paying Washington to screw me either.

Spektrum is actually putting android on the radios now. NOT EVER WILL I BUY ONE OF THESE THINGS!!!! Google can kiss the entirety of my ARSE!!!

Fortunately/unfortunately for me, I have to have most things shipped to me anyways. I do have a LHS nearby, but he mostly stocks traxxas parts. Hence why I'd keep those two aforementioned Traxxas cars. Swearing off the big players wouldn't actually be too much of a hit for me from a convenience standpoint...

The pumping and dumping of companies from Horizon is my main source of distain for them lately. When the competition makes them sweat, they just buy it out and dismantle it instead of actively trying to make their products competitive. I mean look what they did to ECX... solid entry level RTR's are a really fair price. They bought them, removed half the product line, made them hobby shop exclusive and then they were gone. You can really see it from the complete lack of innovation from all companies over the last few years. As you said... "Buy them ALL up Make them as cheap and profitable as possible, if it works, great, if not, gut the company and who cares? We own the competition too... "

As far as tariffs go, without getting political, I truly believe a lot of companies are taking advantage and using it as a scape goat to raise prices they were already thinking of "ethical" ways to raise anyways. Corporate corruption is as much as a problem as the economical decisions of gubberment. Horizon and Traxxas is the epitome of that corporate corruption... especially when they have the resources to at the very least offer us better products in return for that increase in price. Instead they cheapen it down more and more every year, while simultaneously charging more and crying about how it's not their fault. If it was truly just "tariffs" we would get the same quality at an increase price. Instead we get less quality at a premium. If Redcat, FMS, Rlallarlo, Team corrally, etc can continue to make their products better with a small price increase due to tariffs.... then Traxxas can sell the Mini-maxx with a slipper clutch for the price they want for it. Instead we got a bubble gum driveshafts, no slipper and pot metal at a premium. All the while they're claiming they aren't the problem and its the governments fault. It just feels like the big players in the industry are taking 4 steps back and crying about it, while the small guys are full steam ahead making them look silly.

Yup... just look at covid. TP shortage? Gotta increase the price! Wait, there was never a shortage? It was because people were panicking buying it and they actually made record profits? Fear not consumer, we don't plan to lower prices back down and ignore the fact we gaslit you for 12 months! That's just the tip of the iceberg for the atrocities that happened during COVID.

We get gaslighted every day by these companies and all they do is point fingers and redirect blame. Walmart was just caught selling less product than what was indicated on the packaging in California, they were also caught charging MORE than the advertised price at checkout. Walmart and many other companies have also been caught raising prices on products that aren't even being tariffed, while claiming it's due to tariffs. It's wack and people are so blinded by politics, they don't even see the crimes being committed right under their noses. I'm still trying to do the math on how a 10% tariff on a product equates to a 35-40% increase on said product for the consumer.

Most ppl are so blinded by left OR right, black OR white... they are unable to see that the left AND right are the WHOLE problem and that there IS a better way.

Corporate greed is not only being allowed... its being ENCOURAGED!
Tariffs are just another excuse, for sure being abused.

It would seem so easy for the 97% to fix this issue.

We need to do the same for horizon Although Horizon doesn't really realize anything or talk to the people/buyers really.

I don't plan on joining Xbox pass again even if they lower it in the future. Maximize my rc budget. RC is more better.

News for me but old news. Game stop is keeping game pass cards at 20 bucks. Much respect to them. But still imo not worth it TBH in my terms. On how much I game these days. Which is not alot.

you now if you had a Super Nintendo you could play every day. or not play for 6 months and then pop in a game and play it in it's entirety for free.
