The battle of the two buggies

I went for the jammen, then remebered to save 25 for a gallon of gas, and some for a temp gun and glo-plug... so i went with the 100 dollar cheaper violater.

The Violator is not a bad choice. It is based on the 9.5, which is one of the most rugged buggy platforms I have seen. While it may not be as nimble as a full race buggy, good luck trying to break it.

I probably sent my 9.5 tumbling 10 different times yesterday (like sextuple flip with a few twists tumbling) with no broken parts. It stood up to front end case outs, flips, spins, one wheel landings, and everything else my poor driving skills threw at it. That says alot since I don't drive in perfectly groomed track soil. I drive in rocky, hard packed, dusty terrain. Your Violator will not dissapoint.

The only things I would suggest upgrading (when you can) would be the steering servo, HItec 645MG does the trick for like $40, and maybe an FM radio which you can find on E-bay for like $100 bucks.

edit: Failsafe ($30) and throttle return springs ($2) are a good idea too.

Then you're pretty much set. If you ever want parts, check flea bay, you can find every pro hop up from carbon fiber, to cnc for like 10 bucks instead of 50. Just make sure they have a high seller rating. Its all just bling for that car though, its already tough as nails stock. Since you are in Cali, Nitrohouse also has good deals on parts too. Stuff that every car wears out like clutches (try aluminum shoes for a little longer life). Enjoy.

change the fron arms and steering knuckles too....get the PBS system when you break that kingpin knuckle on the violator....notice I said when not if

First of all the Force .26 is not as bad as it is made out to be, I have it on my Violator with a 2 speed, its reliable and fast, but not ROAR legal.

As to your choices, if your going to spend that much, get the Hyper 7 PCR or PBS. I wouldnt get the lighting.

Hey man take my advise, dont get ANYTHING with a pull-start (espeacially a buggy). at this time i have a picco 27 in my mayhem....that engine rocks but it has a pull start. Its a pain in the ass. i will convert to roto start soon thoe with HPI's rotostart and backplate.

i was gonna get the PBS, but saved the money to take ma girl to the movies, and to get a gallon of gas, and a temp gun 30% odonnell

Get extra glow plugs too. Get extra pre filters, and an extra air filter assembly. A PEAK charger that can also discharge is good for reciever packs, radio batteries and glow ignitor batteries as well. I use Dean's Micro connectors wherever I can (charger and receiver pack), because those cheesy receiver plugs always get hot and melt (I am in AZ). That sucks when something that small is the only thing keeping your car from driving.

Told u to get it from me, you would have saved money, had fun and also had a superb buggy to show for it

ha i got the duratrax ICE cuz i have a brushless Lipo minizilla, and a pti MMT. i have one glo plug lol, comes with igniter (ima get a d batt) and i have an old reciever pack... i dont know what MAH it is anymore LOL... I'm ordering the 2-speed from tower this weekend, since they have 25 bux off a 200 dollar order, ima get a falesafe, glo-plugs and a fuel filter aswell

no,i would have spent more getting servos and a radio than getting the violater, AND since i dont use paypal i would have had to wait for my check to clear, AND if something is messed up with the kit i can't return it... on top of it all, you said someone was inline before me... I'm not going to wait just so you can see if you can sell it to someone before me. I'm not saying i dont trust you, i just want to drive my buggy this week, not at some un estimatible time

I'm getting the violater... to violate! its going to be my basher... ima get a REAL racewrthy car next be it KYOSHO MUGEN OR ofna JAMMIN... i feel the hyper has never been comparible to kyosho xray or mugen... but since ofna made the jammin, their back in the races... if the violater is stronger than the hyper, and the jammin is faster... i did myself a favor. (and the violater is probibly faster than a hyper with the bigger motor as long as u get the 2-speed.. when my girl gets a hyper ill race it and say if the violater is faster or not)
