Hi, I have just bought this buggy as spares or repair. I am new to buggies but not to RC Nitros. Have quite a few HPI Savages but am clueless at the moment about this one. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I am thinking it maybe a Kyosho of some sort.

the blue center diff cover + the "split" front tower makes me think it's some variant of the Kyosho Inferno, maybe an MP6 but that top plate design is way off

lets see what the Kyosho connoisseur @CertifiedMike has to say about this
I was thinking Inferno of some sort as saw a pair of front upper arms for a MP777 on eBay and they look to be the same from the bad picture of them, but when I looked at the exploded view of one, there are alot of differences between it and this buggy.

Maybe the buggy is a hybrid from different cars? Buggies are quite similar and when parts run out someone could replace them with brands that still have parts support like Kyosho..
Thanks for the help on the HPI Savage forum when I started out and when I later got my first 1/5th RC😎

Gosh, there's a lot going on with this buggy. I can't stop staring at it. Mismatched hardware, hub extensions on the front but not the rear, mismatched small-ish bore shocks with preload clips, not a lot of chassis scrapes, possible truggy arms on rear... I believe if you find that top plate, you'll have where it all began.

So finally found out what this buggy is. It's a Carson Specter Two. From looking at the manual and pictures found online and it is actually mostly original.
Parts that are not original are the front wheel hexs which have been put on I suspect to widen the track to compensate for the for the wide rear wishbones that have been fitted. Probably due the fact that there is almost no spares parts for these models now. It has a 62T spur gear on it but the manual shows a 46T in the parts list. The front shocks are non-standard. Other than that it is as the manual shows it.
These buggies apparently came with the option of 3 mills and one electric. Engine sizes where 3.5cc 4.1cc & 5.9cc, so put an HPI S25 in it as had a good one doing nothing. Bodyshell is one of those cheap ZD Racing Pirate3 from AliExpress costing £17 with the spoiler costing £8. Wheels & electrics came from my spares box, so apart from sometime and patience this buggy has gone from the photos above to the ones below for the grand total of £25.
