I'm sure you guys talked about it while I was away. My friend is looking to get a crawler just to play around with and maybe upgrade later. I told him DO NOT get the RTR. But then I noticed the RTC How much better is it? It looks way better but looks can be deceiving...
 
For just playing around it will work just fine, and with a few small changes it can become a pretty capable crawler, no comp rig by any means but fine for just playing around.
 
Only really bad stuff i see besides the electrics is the plastic links and the slipper...
 
exactly, just little upgrade can make it a pretty good rig and its a good start, the whole point of it.

Eastendmachining.com caries the upgrade links and hardware kit he would need.
