Narrow 2.2" wheels with Dlux Tires works the best on our Capra, but I'd also look over any 5.25" tall 2.2" setups. JConcepts Megaliths are a solid choice.

No, not really, but I stick to crawling on rocks and suited terrain. Just about all of our motors are outrunners now, simply for the benefit of light weight / torque density. I wouldn't go mud bogging or dragging through the sand.

2.2" Ruptures are excellent.

I haven't got the chance to try the 2.2's yet but they feel great. What foams do you run? I have some proline 2 stage, 2 brothers antifoams, and a set of the cheap knockoff antifoams from Amazon. The knockoffs really dont seem bad but I've only tried them in 1.9's on a trx4 and a vanquish vs4.

I've said this before but I'm so jealous of your play areas. I wish I could find places like that close to me. The best crawling areas I've found are usually dried out creek beds and drainage ditches. I spent a whole weekend cleaning out debris from a water run off area in a local park just to have a good place to play close to home. Unfortunately it gets messed up in the winter so I'd have to do it every spring. 🤮

Nearly every truck we run uses a Crawler's Innovations two-stage foam of some kind. Usually the comp-cut inner foams. We have had some luck with Ottsix Ultra air-down foams in our 1.9" trucks, but as you know, the truck's weight is a big driver on foam. If you look over our tire reviews, you will see what foams we used for the tire / truck combo.

When your Capra is done, pop it on the scale and share a photo. We can get you a suggestion on foams at that point. I've enclosed the weight of the white Capra with the Dlux Fab tires installed and a battery.

No doubt the southwest is perfect for crawling, but the summer temps can make it challenging to enjoy at times.!
