Thx to everyone for their support, I don't think I would have completed this without a little push.
I will take better pics as it was raining outside as I finished, it's dried up now but the ground is still full of puddles and I really don't want to get the truck too dirty until, well I just don't want to run it in water.

I have some flex, ignore the rubbish in the back ground, doing a clean up as getting better organized now my projects are complete.

This came today so I did this. Was supposed to be Titanium color, just messaged the seller and they asked for pics and said would give a discount on next item which I am cool with.
Now there is a lesson in all this, when I was doing work on it last time, I had a whole bunch of stuff that was loose.
Servo arm wasn't tight, one of my suspension brackets was even tight on the frame, some other loose screws.
I went over it again and all seems good.
This has a servo saver attached, I went for a quick spin and pooped myself, this on 6S would be insane, but I am still going to try it because I am insane.
4S is lol, but I haven't taken it out to the park yet, that will be in next few days as I put smallest amount of locktite on the servo bolt.
So the end of all this is the next part of my 3 part plan, the 6WD, that should be paid for in early Jan, so I am around 5 weeks away if all goes well.
So far, it's all been pretty good.
If I don't speak to any of you before Xmas, here's wishing you a safe and merry one.

Wow here's some crappy news, the seller just asked me what axles I had on there because the 2 wheel extension might not fit, that's a ton of money well spent lol.

EDIT, Crisis adverted, seller was able to confirm will work, and due to the mix up of colors, said would send me another diff free of charge, which cost around $150.
Worked out well in the end.

So I have done something really stupid but I think I may have dodged a bullet.
Storing my Lipos, I have maybe 8? They were in the garage and I went in here today and it was hell hot, so much so my temp gun was registering everything around 42 c which is 107 F. What I did was quickly read up on storage and I was Tom Cruising the danger zone, I got my lipo bags and put them indoors which now shows 32C.
My concern is if they decide to do something stupid, and I did order another 2 lipo bags today, are the bags sufficient enough to contain a fire or possible explosion?
I got rid of 4 other batteries which I know are risky, just placed them in a bucket of water (I know you shouldn't but it's so hot today and I wont risk flat lining the batteries today via the charger.)
So what is the safest way to keep these batteries safe indoors if anyone has any advice please?

Also update, I am on course for the 6WD portion, spoken to the seller and they're going to help with some specific things which decrease the pricing some what.

Lipos produce their own oxygen during a fire. No, a bag will not contain the fire or an explosion imo.
I believe they are like an oven mit. Help you to get the hot fire problem from indoors to hopefully outdoors.
The fumes are toxic and another big danger.
The best way I am aware of to avoid issues is to store lipos at storage voltage.
I store mine indoors because of the huge temp swings here.
I am reworking my workspace too. Thinking about more ammo cans instead of lipo bags.

I will still need a lipo bag for being at the race track though.

I've never had the pleasure of dumping lipos in water. I don't know what to say there.

I didn't watch #3. I'm not in the market for $1k battery bags. 🤷‍♀️🤣

I decided to get an ammo box, it was cheap enough compared to the other alternatives. $40 AUD delivered vs $400 for a UN approved 1.
I will still stick the lipos in their respective bags, remove the Ammo box seal and drill some holes to vent any gasses.
I am over thinking this as was about to sell all my gear. :/

I think doing this is a good step in the right direction.
I think buying a good set of heavy leather or otherwise heat resistant gloves is also important so you can carry the flaming box safely if needed.
Charging in a safe location is important.

Read more, watch more vids and get more familiar with how lipos work and how to use them safely.

Fire safety is important but a proper understanding of your gear should really help to to minimize your risk.

Yeah I think more my main concern was that the lipos were in the garage, that's the temp spikes, 42 c.
These lipos are almost new, had maybe 5 charges through them, I don't do a lot of driving, but it's good to know what I have, I can use and store safely.
I have a decent charger too, just atm it's far too hot to do anything, also have a fire blanket and thinking of getting a fire extinguisher.

Edit, just bought 2 fire extinguishers for $50 delivered, 1 for the garage, 1 for the house, 1K units, but it's far better than having nothing.
Will install a fire alarm where the batteries will be stored too.

I hope all is well with everyone, thought I would update with my progress.
I have decided to hole off till it gets cooler, we have had fires and heat here, so I am in no way taking the truck out, so my other hobby is music and that's where I pooled my funds.
The 6X6 is still on the cards, more likely March when it gets milder, will keep you updated.

Heat does tend to drain you pretty quickly.
