Hi guys, what do you think about new tekno sct. Is someone planning to get it?

I run eb410 and et410.2 and I am pretty happy with them. I plan to race outdoor off-road this summer so I am thinking of buying one in the next couple months.

This is the track where I will be racing.

Some will say the SCT410.3 is better for outdoors in the "elements" because of the heft. I know I bought the SCT410.3 for running on rough bumpy track. That extra weight smooth things out.
I'd say give the SL a try... I know I am. Build starts today  . All depends on your situation.

You already got it?

How do you like sct410.3? I am a little afraid of the design if it's outdated and future parts support. I already have a bunch of spares.parts for eb and et. If I find a good deal on used sct410.3 I would go with that, I don't really feel like spending 600$+ but so far, it's tempting :)

for a basher, the SCT410.3 is a beast

If you're club racing on a small indoor technical layout then the SCT410SL would be the better option if you want to be more competitive while sacrificing durability.

I used to race the ET410 and ran into durability issues with the bulkheads being a big concern... they would upgrade the bulkheads with stronger plastic and they continued to break, though not as much.

You can see an example of the bulkhead breaking here, though I don't agree with his rationalization for the break, he's a sponsored TEKNO driver and will be biased:

I have never broken a bulkhead on my SCT410.3 a single time, though I have bent the rear shock tower with a similar crash as shown in the video where you can reasonably straighten a bent shock tower in a vise... shrug
