20 years ago i would have been stoked to hear of a new stadium truck. but today, meh. it'll be a mid motor, shorty pack using UFO in both complexity and cost. I'm not getting my hopes up or holding my breath for anything that'll blow what's left of my hair back.
they can talk about innovation and the future all they want, but the stuff I'm willing to spend my money on is all in the past.

Did I miss something? Where did they go?
They haven't release any new kits for a long time. Well in 10th scale I am aware of.
They discontinued their stadium truck and short course platforms so maybe might have a come back.

The sad thing is, these statements are coming from Horizon Hobby. Just change everywhere it mentions Losi or TLR and replace it with Horizon Hobby and re-read. If you're like me, you'll be thinking... meh, who cares.

Kinda hard to comment on this announcement without feeling like I'm sullying the tradition. Having lived and raced through the Losi era when Gill and Jr. were heading up the program instead of HH. Their contribution to the RC hobby is irrefutable.

Reading the full press release on Red RC, my take away is Losi/HH is applying the standard American solution. Throw lots of money at it and they will come. Speaking specifically to the RPP (Racer Payout program) offering a "six figure" payout. No mention of whether there is a decimal point in there anywhere.

Regarding a Losi Stadium Truck re-re that ship has sailed. Much as I like ST, hard to find anything beyond a 13.5 class if that. Along with re-igniting interest in ST, HH will need to look to Pro-Line to expand its offering of 2.2 tires. They're becoming a bit lean on compounds and tread patterns these days as the class/basher drivers look to other sizes and scales.

Regards and best wishes for Losi making itself relevant again. Yeah, in their defense, RC is a tough market. Market is saturated with so many types and scales, trying to establish or re-establish a racing program or racing heritage is in the tuff-to-do box. -AC

Thinking into this a little more. Regarding a Losi ST (Stadium Truck) re-think, re-release. Why not re-re the Losi 1/10 Speed-T on the TLR on-road side of the house? Sponsor some official speed events and see what racers bring to the table? Publish recorded speeds on the TLR site would go a long way to encouraging interest in a spin-off class to ST as it is traditionally cast in an off-road carpet/clay/dirt venue.

Possible even expand the ST into a 1/8 release to handle todays bigger outdoor tracks? Or even offer a 1/5 scale? -AC

Are Losi RC’s of lesser quality now that they’re owned by HH? I thought I saw that somewhere but I could be mistaken.

I always thought Losi’s were nice back in the day.
