the traxass jato is a nice car but not alot of customisations can be done to it

No, the rush really isn't better....I've owned one so....I can say it's not as good as you say it is...
:hammer: so do i but now i have customisted it it goes 57 mph

ooooo wow, you have your rush set to get up to 57 in the length of a foot-ball field...wow, I'm so impressed.... (sarcasim)

Speed don't mean jack if it takes forever to get there, and if you want speed you should've gotten a TC

okay we have a forum honor rule here kitty...if you claim your RC does some specific speed we need proof.....too many people have made ridiculous claims on speed......so put up or shut up time on the speed claims.....

That is some funny stuff. Traxxas claims mid 50's STOCK on the Jato.

There are a lot of hop-ups for the Jato, with moreto come. I could put a larger mill in any crapbox and go fast. Big deal.

57 isn't unbelievable, but i'm sure it takes a while to get up to speed.
I saw a mini t with a brushless do that.
The Jato, from what I have seen, is fast as hot poop on ice, and handle's nice on pavement.
I haven't had a chance to see it go on dirt, or can I speak for it's durability.

I'm a Hpi guy, and have always thought the Rush was always cheasy for some reason. I drove one once, and it seemed all over the place, and didnt handle very well at all. Granted I havnt drove a jato either, but I have seen one go, and it was fast as hell, and seemed to corner awesome!

OK.. Here my two cents worth :2cents: ...I bought the XXX-NT2 having so much fun with I've built a stable of them using some extra parts from "other Web Sites" ...Here in New Orleans we have a few lhs with parts ..so thats not a problem.... its fast enough for the tracks here.... sure the Evader is faster  but when racing how far can you go in 50,60,75 feet before you brake to turn...???? I would recomend the Losi... :smoke:

I've had a max ST Pro, a revo, evader and a GP2 and the Jato beats them all hands down in speed handling and durability. I've never owned anything as tough or as well built as the Jato in 15 years of electric and Nitro. Its THAT good.

tried to sell myself on the jato, cldnt do it. when i have it out, it'll be to race. so addressed wheels/tires and 1spd, in addition to the couple mods it needs to get rear bit on a dusty track. i just couldnt do it. oh yeh all the radio stuff has to come out on it whereas the losi if u just wanna switch the radio and rx, thats its for a start (heck if u dont mind AM or have glitchin issues, use the nice JR radio it came with)

thats y i bought my losi RTR this wk

My RC10GT will go 400MPH because I say it will.

O ya, well my buggy honestly goes 400mph...............................

And rb, is you "it goes 400 because I say it will..." directed at me?

400 mph SCALE speed... LOL.

Well, it still looks like I'm going to get the Jato. My friends wife just got a 2 speed, 4wd touring car that looks like a Mini Cooper. I haven't seen it go yet, but he's telling me it's super fast. We'll probably be doing a lot of driving on pavement to accomodate her car, so I think the Jato will suit me well. I'm really curious to see how it will fair against the Mini Cooper. He's telling me her car can also be adapted for dirt, is that typical of these types of cars?

There are some companies that have kits to make the onroad cars into "rally cars." There were 2 versions of the HPI Super Nitro ... on road and rally. I don't know what others did it except for the AE electric tc3.

If you're saying that they have a mini cooper r/c, if memory serves me corretly, Cen was putting out a car like that. I may be wrong but that's the only one that comes to mind.

As to TC's being off road, I think Tamiya also makes one. HPI's is pretty good, though. They adopted a lot of TC parts from the MT4 for the rally car.

As to a Jato, in some mags that did the early reviews they were not allowed to test it on dirt, only a track, and they reported excellent handling on dry pavement. Sure, it's gonna traction roll like crazy, but so will any other stadium or off road vehicle.

Also, doesn't the Jato have a moveable Rx batt pack? If you remove the Sleazy Start just mount your batts at the rear. The Jato has two locations, factory, for the batt pack.

my SAVAGE will go 80 and faster!!!!

setting in the back seat of my 1:1 lol GOT YA!!!

Actually, just about any TC can be converted to a rally car (except the high-end racer kits and belt-drive cars) Hpi makes shocks that'd be the perfect length as well as rally tires. All it takes is a little modification. I've seen LD3's, NTC3's and RS4 3's (nitro and electric) converted to rally as well. I've pondered getting a nitro rs4 3 before and converting it to rally. That way, I have a rally car (i've always liked rally cars.) that'll do like 45, I can send it off some jumps, and use all the 1/10 bodies as well. That's what I didn't like about the SNR, you can't use 1/10 bodies, only the hpi "super" ones...same w/ tires too....

but it dont take forever to get there I've got a 25 size engine so hush your lip
it takes about 2secs to get to 57 I've speed tested it with a standard venom speed tester
