RadioMaster should link up with those receivers. Might be a different route to take if you're thinking about switching but feel stuck. 👍
It might be, But the whole point of going to Spektrum was to get the iXSR and i'm not interested in another cheap radio or any other radio for that matter except for the NB4+ but i'm hoping Horizon will come out with an iXSR upgrade model or replacement otherwise i might move to Flysky and do an NB4+ but i'm hoping i won't have to i just have to be patient and wait to see what comes out next. Edit: I also thought of the DX5 Pro 2021 so i can still stay with Spektrum but also get a radio that is comparable in performance to my old Futaba 4PM. Should i do the DX5 Pro or should i just wait and see what Horizon makes next?

I understand. I don't get the feeling that the MT12 is a cheap radio. @WickedFog and others said that it feels quite solid and everything feels of high quality.
I think you will have great luck with the NB4+ too. 👍
Maybe Spektrum will come out with another too... 🤷‍♀️

Wow! If supply is an issue, support will prob become an issue quickly too.
I don't see them supporting this radio long term, if at all. Horizon is known for not supporting their RC's and stuff they discontinue. Just go try to find parts for the recently discontinued Grave Digger. The parts dry up before the kit is even discontinued.

And what kind of support are they going to provide? Horizon has never been able to answer even the simplest of technical questions I have asked them, like servo specs. I asked them a simple question about one of their servos, and their reply was "The manufacturer doesn't supply us with that information". Really? Do the Horizon engineers not design their RC's around this needed info? Or do they just slap a servo in their design and call it good? 🤔🤯

And even when the radio was in stock, it's not like they listed any replacement parts for it. Horizon doesn't look at their priducts like the iSXR as "repairable". So they never list replacement parts for their stuff. They just replace the entire item if under warranty. How are they going to do that with a radio they no longer produce? I am betting all of the parts on the assembly line for this radio have already gone into a recycling bin.

Hogwash. They aren't going to support jack chit now that it's discontinued.

This seems the more likely scenario. 😐

I had heard that it was good but there isn't much info on how to setup a gyro or having any of the features of the radio that the receiver originally belonged to on the MT12 which is why i gave up on getting one also the very steep learning curve. I'm thinking about the NB4+ as a backup plan if Spektrum doesn't work in the long run but it has so far and i've mostly replaced that idea with getting this radio.

The DX5 Pro 2021.

If Spektrum doesn't make a new version of the iXSR like a + or +SE like they did with their air radios. But we'll just have to wait and see what happens next.

There are stores that have them in stock.🤷‍♂️
I don't know if i'll be able to still get one although i have looked on eBay and there's still a few available but i don't know if it'll happen or not. So i might try to sit tight and see what comes out next this might just be hard time for our economy so it might not last. Just my thoughts.

I ordered one under sale and received the cancelation notice yesterday. I wound up cancelling the additi al receivers. My current DX5C is memory maxed and I have 3 vehicles with receivers and no radios. May have to go with Dx5Pro to support all the vehicles built and the others waiting. Need a radio with 40 model memory and really don't want 2 radios.

I think it was too much "Stuff" and was not well received.

There was a lot of chatter about being connected, running linux, it's overkill for anything I would actually do with it. I don't need to watch Youtube on my radio. I have 5 other devices to do that.

I really hope this works out for the folks who have their dreams and money already invested in owning this system. 🤞
Spektrum must have got a bunch of emails about this! 🤣
I hope so too, I instantly fell in love with this system once it first came out. Even before then i considered getting a DX5C or DX5 Pro instead of the horrible Radiolink i owned which imo was the 2nd or 3rd worst mistake i made in this hobby so far. But so far my DX6C has treaded me super well 100x better than Radiounlink has.

The iXSR definitely wasn't a unit for the masses! I kept going back and forth about and ultimately purchased it when the price dropped. So far I'm really enjoying it. The ease of use is just awesome. I have several cars bound to it without any issues. I was worried about long term support when I saw it was listed as discontinued on HH, I feel better now knowing a new model of it is coming this summer. All in all I'm really happy with it. My local HS sold a few of them and the feedback has been good......

I'm so glad you're happy with yours it makes me wish they hadn't discontinued it so early on. But now we know that a new version is on the way this August just don't know what the release day and release pricing is going to be like but I will definitely start saving me $$$ for it. I had thought about making the release of the new model be my 1 year anniversary with Spektrum present in October since i bought my first newer Spektrum my DX6C in October 2024 but we'll see what happens.

I would really like to know the reason they discontinued it..... I'm very curious. We will have to keep our eyes open for any upcoming info on the new one... For what I do and plan to do, this unit is definitely a winner for me. I hope you get one, I think you will really enjoy it.

Well said i think Horizon said that they'll still be supporting the older iXSR but i don't know how long they'll be supporting it. But i think i have an idea why the current one was discontinued *although this is my speculation so it might not be true* .1 I think it's because of support for the SR6400A Drive receiver than comes in the new LMT 2.0, .2 also cause of how popular they were when the sale happened so it also might be because of them selling out, .3 Also the first one wasn't without it's concerns or issues so say that it took a long time to boot and some said it felt similar to their older flagship radio the DX6R this one.

So maybe they discontinued it since it was completely sold out and they took the opportunity to release a new model in the future. Maybe by then Tariffs won't be as big of an issue for them my grandad said he heard on the news that the DT administration put an exemption on electronic products from being included in the import tariffs. But we'll have to see what happens next, But that's my thoughts.

I reached out to HH to find out if the SR6400A Drive receiver will work with the iXSR, I will follow up once I get a response. If it doesn't, this a huge oversight!! It does work with the pro-moto so I would think it will work with this receiver 🤞. I know a lot of people were complaining about the boot up time, I put mine to sleep when I'm done using it so that's not an issue for me.

I am now trying to figure out if I should wait for the new version or go with the Radiomaster MT12. My most complicated vehicle will be the Clodbuster with 4 wheel steering and light controls. The second is my SCX10III with all the options on the drive train and I want to control more lights. Possible want o mount a winch servo. The MT12 has a steep learning curve but can do a lot. The ELRS has me intrigued for the distances.
