I am now trying to figure out if I should wait for the new version or go with the Radiomaster MT12. My most complicated vehicle will be the Clodbuster with 4 wheel steering and light controls. The second is my SCX10III with all the options on the drive train and I want to control more lights. Possible want o mount a winch servo. The MT12 has a steep learning curve but can do a lot. The ELRS has me intrigued for the distances.
I think the MT12 would suitable for that and be affordable. The iXSR is a very expensive system along with the receivers now being quite a bit more expensive thanks to DT's import tax nonsense and they only go up to a 6 channel receiver. You can get the MT12 in either a 4 in 1 module version which can work with lots of aftermarket and stock oem equipment receivers from RTR's or as you mentioned you can get the ELRS version which has crazy range capability. Also the MT12's interface has a pretty big learning curve vs the iXSR which was an Android based smart firmware with a touchscreen which is the main reason i want one. Also the new version iXSR won't be out until at least sometime in October vs the MT12 which you can buy right now if you want. Hope this helps in your purchasing decision.

Thank you. I have been working out what version of the MT12 if I go that route. I was looking to ELRS with the 4in1 add on incase the on road racing scene ever starts back up in my area. I have a 19 Spektrum receivers for the DX5C and several more kits to build or redo the electronics on.

I so far have 7 vehicles bound to my DX6C most of which have the 6200A AVC receiver and i mainly went Spektrum for the AVC and how Arrma's, Losi's, Axial's and some other Horizon Hobby vehicles come with their receivers. I used to have a Radiolink RC8X but it was practically the worst radio i ever owned. once the iXSR came out i made the switch to the DX6C and eventually when the new model iXSR comes out i'll definitely be getting one mainly since i love having a touchscreen interface blame the Futaba 7\10PX, DX6R and the RC8X for that. There just so simple to use.

I was looking at that unit as well.... I just didn't want to spend the time tinkering with it, most of my vehicles are fairly simple so that's why I decided to go with iXSR. Sounds like you would benefit from the MT12!

I just learned of the discontinued IXSR.

As someone who bought it and haven't even used it yet, I can say that it's not a good feeling that it's now discontinued so soon after its release.
I mean, not even a reason given, except that a new version will be out in August.

I hope they didn't find something wrong with it and are not disclosing it.
I didn't even use mine yet! :(:(

Amain still has them in stock for how long idk and they have stated that they'll still be coming with new firmware updates for it. Also Horizon said they'll be coming out with a new version this August. I'll start saving for mine next month to hopefully have it when it comes back out but i'm not full on my DX6C so i can wait awhile. I think they discontinued due to what's currently going on in the world with import taxes and selling completely out on their site and instead of making a new one right they plan to come out with it this August.

I just received my Radiomaster MT12. Decided not to wait for new Spektrum. Also ordered 5 receivers and a hobbywing ESC and motor.
Please post a thread about this!
I am going to buy a radio soon. I'm reluctant because of the setup on MT12 but 100% love it otherwise!!!
Congrats!!!😍👍

I watched a few videos of the Radiomaster MT12 but it didn't seem to support what i wanted to do but that's just me. I've had my Spektrum DX6C for more than 6 months now and it's been awesome if not the best in terms of functionality and features. I also mainly bought it to get into Spektrum's ecosystem to eventually get into an iXSR which has been delayed thanks to "current market conditions" and it becoming discontinued. But i'll start saving up next month so hopefully by August i'll have enough to buy mine.

I purchased it recently and now have 10 models on it and I have yet to run into any issues, It's been pretty solid for me. I'm beginning to think it was discontinued due to the current environment (tariffs). I'm wondering if they ran into supply issues with a certain component/components, just my 2 cents.

I'm glad you're liking yours it gets me excited and makes me dream at night about getting mine. I think you might be right about the current environment thing (Tariffs) trust me i've been hating on every decision DT has made for the last 10 years now. But yeah i think that might have been the reason why the iXSR was discontinued due to current affairs and other issues that haven't fully been disclosed yet.

I really hope you get one!! Based on everything you've mentioned I think it's a good fit for you.

I really do too, Hopefully this August to October depending how much i'll have by then. I also thought about after getting my iXSR maybe saving up for a new rig like a 223s Senton or a 6s Kraton EXB (V6).

I've been eyeing that 6S Kraton....I don't have any 6s arrma stuff yet so that may be my first!

Wow, We have the same car in mind that we plan to get i also plan to get another Traxxas Sledge at some point next year. I have a Felony so far and it's been awesome and i've been eyeing 6s and 8s Kratons since i got into the hobby but i'm not interested in a 8s Kraton since i have the Outcast and i like how the Outcast performs. But a 6s Kraton is a definite for me although they also have the Notorious which is the successor to the 6s Outcast.

That's awesome! I wish I had that arrma line up you have. I just started getting into arrma stuff late last year. The first arrma I got was a V3 typhon and I really enjoy it. I did quite a few upgrades to it and got bit by the arrma bug 😆

I'm thinking the same thing. Though I have yet to use mine, I did bind a couple rigs to it to just mess around with settings.
It seems fine to me.
Regardless, though, I think Spektrum should have put out a better explanation for the discontinuation.
I think $700 should have bought at least that much.😆

I was originally had a Team Losi Mini-T 1.0 was my first then a Duratrax buggy. Then i caught the Traxxas bug when i was 10 and my Dad bought an original 4-Tec 1.0 Electric after that i got my very first new Traxxas a Slash 4x4 VXL Mike Jenkins edition. Got out of the hobby in 2011 due to not being able to run them often. I've been a Traxxas guy up until July 2023 when i bought my Outcast 8s EXB v1 roller then my Felony and Vendetta all of them are fun the Vendetta had some issues with the diffs and the ESC but i got all of that fixed. I got my Outcast 8s EXB up and running again this month with a new ESC and Receiver which was the stock v2 RTR ESC the Firma 160 V2 and a new SR6200A AVC receiver and it's been a blast rips wheelies 20ft from a standstill on my street. The Felony has been awesome but it's kind of slow with the Max 6 G1 combo it currently has so i've considered buying the stock system for it to get back some stock speed.

Wow! You've got some nice stuff! I will send you some pictures this weekend of a new arrma project I'm working on... getting close to getting it done. Would like to see what you think!
