Gave up trying to find the Remote to my favorite X-maxx and bound a different remote to it, and took it for its first rip in over 6 years.
Still runs as good as ever.

I imagine you've got one heck of a remote collection! 🤣
Yea, and when we moved to our new home and property 6 years ago, some of my helpers, god bless them, boxed up all the remotes in 2-3 boxes.
They all used to be setting beside their paired RC, and luckily I had many that were labeled, but unfortunately many more were not labeled.

Since finally getting time or making time to get back into my favorite hobby here over the past month or two, I have spent many hours trying to power up remotes and trucks trying to matchup remotes with their RCs.

I know I am missing at least a half dozen remotes that I know were labeled since I did have all the RCs I actually used labeled to what RC they went to. Shelf queens not a big deal, but a lot of the shelf queen collector RCs had un labeled remotes that all got mixed up into multiple boxes.

It’s been a mess sorting or trying to sort out the remotes to my entire collection.
With around 100ish RCs it’s been a huge undertaking to say the least. 😂 lol just all very frustrating.

I wish you luck, that is an undertaking I do not envy!

I think I would choose a remote, power it on, then one at a time power on the models, since they won't sync with an unpaired remote (ESC light won't go green), that would make it quickly obvious when you find the right pair. Good luck

Sort of a bit similar yet opposite approach has been proving the quickest.
Yet I still have about 6 of the RCs that I know I used to use on a regular bases that I knew for sure had labled remotes that I can't seem to find those remotes. I am thinking I must still have a bag or a box or something stashed somewhere closet, attic someplace that has all my missing remotes in it.

The best way I have found so far is to power on the RC vehicle, then with all the remotes I am testing powered on at the same time and then see if any of the steering servos get triggered by turning the wheel on the remotes.

To power on all the cars at once would take a lot of batteries and you only have a matter of seconds before it will timeout and stop looking for the remote.
So, I am not sure I could power on all the cars even if I had enough batteries, at least not before the first ones I powered on timed out.

The suspension tuning I did last week on the max slash seemed to really help get it dialed in.
I am actually starting to like it now.

Only issue now is my current track area being gravel and crushed asphalt which keeps causing steering issues with it.
The front tires keep kicking asphalt rocks up into the steering linkage and jamming up the steering.
To the extent it can’t turn but one direction or not steer at all. Was able to make several good laps before my steering jammed.

I need to figure out some sort inner fender rock guards or something to keep the rocks out of the steering linkage .

Brought out the Mojave Grom, keep forgetting how fun it is. Tried to get a vid but just can't drive and film. All I have is a snippet.

Also took the Ecto out for a little crawl through the desert and up mount doom.

Thanks
I think they might take care of the problem.
I saw those, I want to say that’s the set you have to cut to fit.

I found these 3D printed exact fit versions, which should be coming in next week sometime.
If the ones I ordered don’t fix the problem , I am going to order the ones you had found and try those.

got battery's charging. going to run the Team Losi XX, original RC10 6 gear (if i can figure out what's going on with the electrics), "generic stadium truck", Wheely King, maybe Super Clodbuster.
and if I'm still feeling froggy after that finally add some weight to the nose of my SC10 and be disgruntled about that for 10 minutes.

also kinda want to drive the Savage XS... might do that as well... or maybe ill save that for tomorrow... idk.

Looks like fun!
It sure was.
This week everyone made a lot of progress, for the most part everyone is now going around the track in the right direction. Lol

Overall their control skills have started to improve to the point I was able to get some quality grudge racing going.
It’s amazing how a little friendly competition gets new RCer’s to focus and start learning vehicle control .

The prior weeks were fun but the track was more of a war zone, and my cones seemed to have been mistaken for targets. Lol 😂

After a few weeks in a row of everyone leaving with all their RCs broken. lol
Some needing some pricey repairs. Today was a big turning point.

Loads of Fun racing, minimal damages, everyone left with their RCs still fully functioning . Lol 😝

Some really great progress has been made!
