Took the Mojave Grom on it's maiden bashing this morning. Great little truck. The best of the Groms so far, and they are all pretty danged fun. Even had a head on collision at a pretty good speed with my flying buddies Granite Grom, both came away unscathed, Arrma tough. :)

Next week a minor roll over will break 4 parts. That's how my stampede was. 🤣

We have the old Grave Digger. Fun truck.

Are you running stock electronics in it? And are you running it on 2s?
It's been my "go to" truck, it can jump curbs better than my Slash, and it surprised me today when I was able to get up some gravel/rocky hills, despite being 2wd open diff with tires from decades ago.

I'm running it with a HW1060, NIMH, some off-brand 14t re-buildable can, and an off-brand metal gear servo, cheap stuff that I had lying around.

I get mixed opinions about the grom series. One side saying it's a great mini trucks / cars and durable. And the other side of breaking them. Mostly the diffs.
You have to treat them like what they are, Mini's. They are fun for tearing around, but not really meant for big sends off ramps. Scale jumps, no problem, not really meant for playing Evel Knievel with. Like any rc, if you push the limits of what it's designed for it's going to break. The Mojave Grom handled the dirt like a true SCT should, it was awesome. It handled pavement very well too, but is not designed for big jumps.

The Granite grom is also fun in most terrain but has a problem of getting gravel or small stones stuck in the hubs.

Only played with the Typhon Grom in the street so far, with the stock tires. They were a little too grippy and tended to cause the buggy to flip rather than slide through a high speed turn. Gotta get my street tires glued so I can try it again.

The Mojave Grom outshines the other two but, they are all quite enjoyable. All three put a grin on my face. :)

Need to find a parking lot I can set up a race course in.

No you.dont. make a race course on the roof of your house! 😉😁
I'm not allowed to play on the roof, ever since I broke my tailbone jumping out of a tree, I have learned old people don't belong in high places. Mrs. Doom would be very unhappy with me. 🤷‍♂️

Tried to race the 1RC Asphalt Modified again today but the same electrical gremlins came back lmao. Even the other racers are stumped about it. I think I'm gonna put it away for awhile. I wanna focus on my 1:10 SK pan car and i'm one of those weirdos that can't focus on multiple projects at once.

I thought you had it figured out. That sucks. :(

I did a little more fiddling. I feel like it's a battery problem. It'll go full song but after like 30 seconds - 1 minute the sound pitch of a full throttle changes and the car just crawls. This is what the LiPo reads after a full balance charge. The ESC and motor should be fine, because it worked just fine with nimh batteries. The ESC manual states it can run a 2s Lipo. The regulator shouldnt be the issue because I literally put a volt meter to it last week and it read 6 volts just fine. Another thing I noticed is that after I test the throttle a little bit, and then plug the battery in the lipo checker is that the cells will be exactly even again. Weird.

EDIT: Yeah I noticed when the throttle is full pitch, the cells are even, but when the pitch changes the cells immediately change to like like 0.05 off.
