So, What R/C Did You Run Today?

Had the R1E out today. First time since pulling the 3300Kv and re-installing the back-up 17.5T. Running the motor sensorless and she does not like that.

This time of year the light dusting of pollen on the road surface provides immediate feedback on how the chassis rolls. That's the green powder on the PL Prime's. Pollen lay-down affects traction with slicks. Had a loop out on braking. Need to back off the drag brake when pollen is about.

Pulled a trailer with my 10.2. Also went for a dip. Factory rear end, ax10 tranny, modded to fit a 20t pinion? 3s copperhead 2280kv.

My wife, sister, her BF and I went up to the sand dunes and ran the 1/10 crawlers. We had so much fun, my sister is headed to the city to buy her own 1/24.
Now be sure and jump on over to the "what did you break today" thread. ;)

Made ten passes with the FSS MT10 at the Kilgore Site today. Best speed was 51.77mph. Back-up run netted 51.64. First time using 3S power pack. Spektrum 3300Kv motor geared 3.37:1 at 16/54. 264ft course. Will need more course length. Very much fun. She'd pull a little wheelie about half course when pulling full trigger.

Cheers. 'AC'

Lori and I took a few trucks out to play yesterday. First time out with my new Mojave EXB. Our first 6s truck. Man what a blast. Went with stock motor/esc combo, so nothing wild. The Mojave would run laps around my Lazernut. Did manage to get a couple small tears in the rear body panels after a few high speed cartwheels

Thanks... we also had her sister and nephew with us. everyone was taking turns running the all rigs. great way to spend time with family and friends
The Mojave is a thing of beauty wide open, love watching the suspension work at high speed on rough terrain. :thumbs-up:
it was amazing on how well it handled wide open across the lot we were at. the Lazernut on 4s was about the fastest rig we've got/ran before. I think if I let Lori run it a few more time I might be able to talk her into getting another one so we can chase each other around ;):D

I thought the same thing when I watched the Traxxas UDR promo vid. I never was into SCT's, but watching that really made me want one. The suspension just looks so realistic the way the truck floats over the terrain.

Today, we hosted the family Easter party. After the meal, I showed my wife's cousin's husband my toy cave. He was really interested in my rc vehicles. So, I took him out back and let him try, RigorMortis, my Injora build SCX24.
He had never crawled before, and discovered that he really, really likes it! He was super impressed with how capable this tiny little rig is. Then I moved him up to, Jalapeno, my 1/10 Redcat Scout. He was grinning ear to ear the entire time driving. He absolutely loved it and is now set on getting crawler!

No running for me, it was mostly chores this weekend. But I am feeling that itch to get out and play.
I did a bunch of yard stuff this weekend, including the first mow of the season. I'm enjoying the warmer weather while I can before those blood thirsty bugs comes full force!

Had the R1E out for a session today. Pulled a pair of indicated 51mph runs out of the freshly installed HW 10.5T on 2S. Geared 22/46.

Session was not without its drama. Popped off a FR camber link on an early run. Barrel-rolled her couple of runs later. Topped it with the body catching air and 360 back flipping. Surprisingly ended up back on its wheels on both the barrel and back-flip-so could finish the runs. No apparent damage other than some superficial battle scars.

Cheers. 'AC'
