We had another group track bash tonight at my back yard track.
I ran my new UDR General Lee build, old UDR but new body, wheels and tires.

Ran through a lot of packs . Lots of charging time in my future.
Had a blast.

Welcome back! You disappeared the last few days 🤔

Thanks!
Ah, Just been busy with work and other projects.

Plus it's been a very wet rainy the past couple weeks.
Making it difficult to get the track dry enough and our group together for RC-ing, every time we planned something the past couple weeks it rained us out.

Last night was the almost a spur of the moment sort of thing to get in an RC session before the rain set back in for the rest of the week.
It's been raining off and, on all day, today and supposed to continue like that for the next week.

You need a giant tarp like they use on football fields, and 20 close friends to move it. 🤣
.....or, just keep it simple and get an rc boat......or 2.

I have a couple, but the recovery when you flip or roll a boat can be quite the pain in the rear. Lol

I have a 10 acres pond which is pretty ideal for RC boating, also have couple old wave runner too, which generally having a wave runner in the water to recover the boats as needed seems to be the best recovery solution for boat recovery.

@CC1999 That's it, you officially suck! You have almost every type of rc playground right at home. :wtf:
lol 😝
Almost like I might have done it on purpose, lol 😂

I was really getting deep into the RC hobby when I was shopping for a new place to call home, and one with a decent amount of land and all views and amenities I could find in a home and property could really enjoy and have fun with. Little did I know developing, modifying, and maintaining this property would become a more less all consuming task, for the past 5 or 6 years. Lol

The RC stuff pretty much got put on hold during those years. I have been playing catchup the past several months as I start having more free time to get back into my favorite hobby. Which lead me to finally start building an RC track and trying some new RCs and breaking out a lot of my old RCs for the first time in years.

I bet it’s been at least 5 or 6 years since I had a battery in that 4x4 Rustler I had out last night,

That chassis under the General Lee UDR was shelf queen wearing a monster energy themed body since 2018.
Just pulled it off the shelf a couple weeks ago to use its chassis for my UDR General Lee themed build.
Yesterday easily was the first battery plugged into that RC since 2017 or 2018.

I wished I had something like this close to me!
I know exactly how you feel. This club is fairly new and has started hosting WRCA rounds - it's just 15 minutes away! 😎🤩👌

It consists of members that used to attend a club I was chairman of - 20+ years ago. That was a 100 mile round trip for me each time I raced. 😬

For national rounds - more like a 200 mile round trip.

It's worth the effort if you have a reliable mode of transport and enough time to dedicate to a championship. 👍

Its about 1 hour or much longer on back roads to my 'local' track.
Your 200 miles makes me feel a little less insane for wanting to race at mine! 🤣

Weather in Maine, life... Getting to the track every week seems unlikely at best! I doubt I 'll ever chase points but who knows.

I just loved racing when I was younger and I want to do it again! 😁

My build is getting closer to assembled finally.
Soon I'll have something good to post here again! 🤣😎

I tried to take my speed run Typhon out for a shakedown after installing the undertray with fins. I remembered everything... except to bolt down the top deck!OOPS!

No damage done, but it ended my shakedown attempt for the evening.

Ahem. If it sounds mad to you, can you imagine what the rest of my family, friends and acquaintances thought! 🤣🤭

Can't wait to see what you're building! Keep us posted. 😎👍

That golden hour video looked superb. 🤩😎👌

That's very often the time I do my 'speed runs' with my mutant Kronos XTR / Kraton hybrid. I'm up to 70 mph on 6S. 😅

0-60 - 3.68 seconds.

Swapped out camera in tugboat with a diffrent one, and monitor, i like it better, i need to make a sunshade for it and test a retrieval.

I did test out retrieval arms with a sonic wake.

Maiden voyage of sonic wake 36 with a seaking 180 esc on 6s, ran dry, cool, and alot of full trigger passes. I'm pleased with it other than a little tuning..

That spectrum 120 in it isn't 6s capable for more than a few seconds.. but I can use it in another boat as a upgrade...

Spektrum sucks. The hobbywing and even the flycolor blows it away.
