First things first....When you buy used, your buying other peoples problems. Second thing....your time is worth about as much as a Mexican food stamp when it comes to this hobby. Its a labor of love. If it takes you 5 hours to clean that truck, then you must be working on Union time because it doesn't even take me that long to disassemble and reassemble my T-Maxx..completely. 3rd....buying a car in any scale means a lifetime of debt and the items you described that need to be repaired or replaced are wear items not covered under ANY factory or ANY aftermarket warranty and makes no effort to provide any. Think of it as a chance to get in touch with your inner r/c zen, look at it also as a viable reason to UPGRADE these parts and just lavish in the afterglow of knowing you have the fastest factory stock nitro powered stadium truck on the books right now. Screw the EZ start, slip a pull start on there and cowboy up. Tires....unless they're missing, run them until they fall off. A plug??! I'm on my 20th plug so I don't wanna hear about it. The shocks can be done for cheaper than that, just search for parts and make friends with other r/c folks. Sorry if i come off as an ass, don't take it personal but it is what it is.

Good Luck and God bless.

Come on, don't hold back. Tell 'em how your REALLY feel! :hehe:

i gotta say there are only 2 forums ill purchase parts/rigs from and rcnt is #1. i would be pissed off too if i had recieved something in the condition as you described. i have several transactions here and have always got top notch stuff alot of the time better than described!

with your problem id take it up with the seller first(allow some time), if hes honest he should work with you to resolve this. if he wont, please leave negative feedback so we know to avoid this guy.

people that do dirty business usually dont last long around here.

As an online buyer/seller since '99, I see a few mistakes from both sides. Over all, I don't think you got a super bargain, but you weren't ripped either. You did save over new and once you drive it the rest will be history!

Well put! Let's put this thread to bed. Good night all!

Good Morning!

Jato 3.3 is the one i got from twocane on this board i never got a chance to run it but 2 tanks has the new green body and stock grey body, rpm arms, metal roll bar and metal front brace. come with the traxxas radio and starter ready to run.

i dont want to get too involved in this, but i think brad, that you both in the wrong and right.

as you can see my quote from starion's desc, it DOES say comes with starter (does not imply in anyway its fully functional since he said he never ran it). which means you will not, in anyway get that part back.

but however, there is one important point that he stated, that ajjames pointed out: "ready to run". THAT right there is the falsification that you are talking about. if you have described the car in correct detail, the jato was not ready to run. which is where you may have a very strong point.

bald tires can still be ran on.

the sway bar? i dont know about that.

and the ez start... i dont know the car too well, but if it is strictly required to start the car (no pullstart), then again, you have a point. otherwise... bad luck.

nonetheless, i think you should take on board everyone else's pointers on this, learn from it, and dont make the same mistake again. i completely sympathise for the disappointment and frustration that you feel for this sale. i wish you better luck in sales/buys next time and hope that the jato isnt going to be merely waste of time, money and effort. gl.

That's all I gotta say bout that.

As a 1:1 mechanic I deal with it on the daily. eBay'ers who get roped into buying the "greatest running car in the universe" (true story) and get a POS half lifer (500k miles) mid 80's Honda that smokes and drinks more than a french hooker...funny..the damn thing smelled like one too! :hehe:

So the moral of the story is....Believe half of what you see and none of what you hear.

R/C brother to R/C brother, I don't think you got screwed, lied to, or shined. You know now what to do in the future if you decide to buy another deal of the century vehicle, sight unseen.

Once again, I apologize if I come off as an A-Hole. I refuse to sugar coating life for people.
