Which savage do I have?

I bought this last night off the big auction site.

Seller called it a savage x and said this was the stock body. It look like it to me but I know nothing about savage trucks.

I’m saving money for a motor and had planned on the newest version f4.6 but, would love advice on other suggestions. I bought the roll bar kit last night and now I’m busted. So, I’ll have to wait until I can save some more money for the motor.

Now it’s wait time. And, I’ve yet to see it in person so there might be more things it needs. I’m excited to get into it and learn these things. Thanks ahead for any and all suggestions.

The long antenna tube tells me its an older 4.6 with a newer body.

That is what I was thinking. Strayed away from it at first due to that being the case. But, researched for a couple days and come to the same conclusion. Pay day came and bam! Just like that I had enough funds to buy it.

I’m so excited. I’ve got to check the shocks to ensure they are the big bore. Other then that if the add was correct and accurate, I should be able to replace motor and pipe, install electronics and be running.


I love the wait but, I hate it to. Going be a bit before I can get everything but, at least I’m started.
