Looking Good SnG. one of my local guys is doing a similar build using a xtail and that lid.
likeing the scale details your adding. sorry didnt read the "Whole" thread, hows it crawling? few of the local guys are really digging their Xtrail setups.

thanks Timmahh, it crawls pretty good, its pretty top heavy but i wanted that, i dont want a scaler to perform like a crawler, i want it to be more like something that would be a dialy driver/weekend trail truck....if that makes sense...

ok, well on the last snow run i had an accident, no one was hurt lol but i broke the passenger side fender off as well as put a huge crack in the front bumper...so me and my buddy cut the front fenders and bumper off and built a new bumper...i just got my fenders on (temporary) to see if i like them or not, they are 20 awg sheet metal...prolly do a peice of rod around the outside of them from the step to the bumper... heres a pic...

lol you dont see the damage cuz the one fender broke off so i cut the other one off too and made the new ones...they give me more clearance now....i just got my proline scaler stuff too...so in a few i'll upload some pics of them.

ok heres the proline winch.....let me know wich is better in your opinions, on top of the bumper (sticks out just alittle bit) or in front of the bumper, wich if i do that i will build a bar to go in front of it for protection...

yeah I'm not sure either Joe....it will do but I'm prolly not gonna use the gas can, cooler or the tow rope box thing cuz they look really small, like the gas can compared to my rig would be like a 2 gallon can lol.

Better to have little gas on board then none at all for when you run out on the trail, LOL!!!!! i think I like the winch out in front better, + it would make it easier to run your winch cable through the bumper and into the rig....

Slow: could you do me a favor and measure the footprint of your Pro Line winch? I need to know for my Defender project if it's big enough to look scale next to that HPI shell.

the bottom side (part that it would be sitting on) is 2 1/4 inches.....it is almost an inch from top to bottom (at the tallest part) and the deepest it is-is 7/8 inch.

you would like "scaling" cuz its just like when you were a little kid pushing your little cars around in the dirt but this bitch is powered!!! lol

Not much changes except that I get to push them around on the carpeting of my choice.
Uh...what do you mean by 'powered'?

I think it's time for me to get started on my brass rail chassis.

lol i guess you are the exception to the rule Rolex lol.....i hope to see a build like this soon from you....i assume yours will be the same color as mine, but they do also have them in red and silver....i need to finish my fenders, so i need to get some steel rod and then i think this one will be pretty much done and i can move on to my 1/8th f150 body....

ok, forgive the picture and i still have to grind some ruff spots on the fenders from the weld but here it is...new sheet metal and steel rod front fenders, bumper and push bar...kinda ugly but solid and a rock...

I Guess there is one good thing about the cold winter up your way. it gives you time to keep creating one master piece after another, I like what I am seeing Lloyd, have you thought about making matching rear fenders and bumber?
