CA has gotten so bad i think i know as many people who left as people who have stayed (so far). and practically everyone i know personally has an escape plan. most of my relatives have moved to Virginia. they didn't seem to have any issue acclimating.

I was there long enough to know it was time to go.

I was born in San Bruno California and my grand parents lived in Clear Lake California.
It's been years since I've been there though. My wife's daughters live in Cali and she goes there every few years but
I have no desire to see her kids. They think the same about me so I stay home.

I grew up (thru 5th grade) in San Diego area, then moved to Texas. While in the USAF I spent a fair amount of 1994 in Azuza and Altadena, flew in and out of Ontario. Didn't go back until 2011 when I had to go to Livermore for equipment training. Haven't been back since, but I hear it may be different now.

Dad's doing fine and out of recovery, the good news is, it wasn't cancer. That's a huge relief.
