My Traxxas Sledge eats inner wheel bearings both front and back. It's done this since it was stock. Hub carriers, steering blocks, axles, and bearings have all been replaced multiple times. Is there a solution to this problem or a brand of bearing that has more lasting power?

I use FastEddy sometimes or Winter Evening bearings off ebay. WE is a guy out of Alaska that puts kits together. He will do custom orders as well if you contact him.

But if you are having bearing issues frequently, it would be much more economical to just buy the bearings you are destroying in bulk. You can buy them like 10 at a time for around $10.

Northwest Washington, it rains 10 months out of the year where I live. The truck is driven exclusively on cley pump tracks and dirtpark. Bearings that have been used so far Protek, Arrma, Traxxas, and Tekno.

I don't have any bearing issues with my Arrmas. I think the root cause is the bearing is too small for the weight of the truck (15.8lb). The truck requires 1/2" offset wheels to steer correctly which puts a lot of leverage on that bearing as well.

Winter Evening bearings sound promising, I'll check them out.

Just lighlty reading a few of your posts .I have come to this conclusion. You modified this rc far beyond its Original design..so your going to eat bearings up .theres no magical bearing that will last..In my 1/6 scale speed cars years ago I knew the speeds I was planning would destroy the bearing so I searched and found a Company that was selling out that made some of the bearings I knew I was gonna destroy so I purchased as many as I could with the cash and Truck I had and drove home .sure it was a 3 hour drive 1 way and I did burn thru Gas but well worth my time. they now sit in an environmentally controlled Pole barn..So you either change bearings on a regular time frame or you pull truck apart and take proper care of bearings and reinstall them.. this hobby has many things built within fine tolerances you go way above those your on your own

Have you tried FastEddyBearings yet?

You modified this rc far beyond its Original design.
Yes it is heavily hopped up, but this was an issue when it was stock too. The salesman at the hobby shop where I got the truck says this is a common problem for people when they beat on their Sledges. He says the cold resistant plastic Traxxas uses is too soft and deforms quickly causing the bearings to not sit right in the carriers. Being he's been fixing other peoples Traxxas trucks for years I'll assume he's right.

Treal C blocks, steering blocks, and hub carriers are on order.
