A friend of mine at work got out of the hobby and dropped a gallon of Sidewinder 20% on my desk today. He never used it, BUT it only has a red plastic plug in the jug, not a foil cap like I use in my quart bottles.

It's probably at least a year old. He did keep it in his laundry room inside and not out in the hot garage.:D

Do you guys think it's still good? I didn't pop the plastic plug out of it yet, but it does not show any sludge in the jug or any separation or anything like that.

Thoughts?

Thanks...
Mark

thats what i use ...i like it ...try it and see if it runs good on it ;)

Shake the crap out of it and use it. The worse that will happen is that it won't run for crap or tune well. If that's the case, then you got a gallon of air filter cleaner. ;)

Shake it and Run it! I've used a lot of old fuels(just finished off some 5yr old Wildcat) with no problem. Sunlight is the killer, stored inside the laundry room should be perfect

Thanks for the replys guys. I'd hate to throw away a free gallon of go-juice!

I just bought a fresh quart last weekend and already ran a tank through my RS4 and my MT2. This weekend I hope to get the Savage off the shelf, clean it up, charge the hump pack, and get it running/tuned as well. If the weather is good the next weekend or two I should have no problem getting through the quart I bought! LOL

I just threw away a couple of gallons of Tower Power from about '01. Stored indoors the whole time. It was separating though. Maybe I should have shook it up and tried it.;)

I would have  It loses a bit of punch when it gets really old so start up isn't crisp and easy, but one running it usually does ok. I tried some 15yr old fuel once, but is was less than qt in the gal container and stored in a shed. Could barely get a hit out of it.
