This is kinda a noob post but i got a xxx-nt with a and i was given a gallon of Dyanmite 20% nitro blue thunder and the bottle dosent say what percent of oil it is andi dont want to screw up my new engine.

Yes u can. The oil content should be about 12 to 16%

Ok Thanks cause i was a little scared to run the fuel with out knowing the percent

Is it dynamite sport? I think the sport runs a higher oil content than the non-sport. And it has an additive in it (X-7 I think) that supposedly ignites when your engine temp is to hot. So if you get really poochy performance out of it after a few high speed runs, richen it up a bit. It's supposed to help protect newbies.

I always run a hot plug with high oil content, and a cold plug with 14% or less... it seems easier to tune that way. So if you are having trouble getting it to run right with this new fuel, try a hotter plug.

By the way way plugs make a huge difference..

[move]I run a hot plug and i belive it is non-sport[/move]

blue thunder isn't the best fuel ever to run, i used to use it, got kinda crappy performance. switched to mhp and it was wayy better...

but, my friend uses blue thinder and he gets good performance, so maybe i just got a bad jug or something

blue thunder is all i use on my 2 trucks and 2 cars :) btw i found that the sport forumula does work better than the race ..... the race made my mill overheat and didnt perform as well

I have used a few Gallons of Blue Thunder and it has always worked fine with me. Just dont go saying that around the Traxxas forums you will get Bitch Slaped by OQ..... LOL I know I did. I just laughed then got banned LOL....

sLY

i think ill just go back to my byron 20% nitro and 16% lube it works just fine

i final ran this fuel final and i did not change 1 needle. this fuel dropped my tempetures about 20 degrees. and it still sounds good. I'm stickin with it.
