i have a t-maxx, a rs4 ss, and a xterminator 1/8 buggy. by far..and i mean very far i choose my buggy as my favorite r/c. i do not own an stadium truck, but see guys that bash with them and to me they do not look as fun IMO. the 1/8 buggy is so much more durable than any other type r/c on the market, you can literally jump them off cliffs (youll hear many a story of fellow r/c'ers jumping for 20' verticle airs, over cars, houses, freeways..with there buggys )and theyll come back for more. while i am baised as not having drivin a stadium truck and owening a buggy, i can honestly say any one who has ever drivin an 1/8 buggy or even SEEN one jump, handle, accelerate...that it will be the r/c they would want over any other. sorry i can't help compare the differences between the EB4 and the sports 7.5...athough I'm sure both are very bash worthy.

I mean I love my buggy and they are hella fast and smooth but buggys seems to be more set up for off road racing and not bashing because of height and what not. Then again I do give my storm hell and have seen whjat can be done with good drivers. If i could recomend a first car to you for a stadium truck it would bt a HPI MT. Its 1/10th scale, comes witht he .15fe thats easy to tune. They make the MT run pretty fats for stock i guess. Usually if you go with big expensive engines or car your gonna get confused and frustrated if you've just started. Maybe I helped...

I can tell you I used to run electrics. I was going to buy my kids each a used electric buggy for xmas like the old rc10-t or such. By the time I had batteries, charger..etc I would have been able to buy a nitro.. so I did. They love it It's a stadium truck.

The thing handles great I love it. they love it, its fast durable and easy to tune (XTM X-cellerator) and it came in at $260 Ready to run..

BUT in hindsight.
Stadium trucks are a blast, but they are just that stadium trucks they are meant for racing. They are built light, and to handle very well and fast. They leave things out expecting you to tweak upgrade and fix things based on the fact you will probably race.

Basicallly, they are not as durable, and they don't do as much terrain.

I find myself already wanting longer A-arms wider taller tires ETC..

If i coudl do it again, I would have spennt a tad more money and bought a 4wd buggy

Why?
More durable, more terrain, easier to handle.

Why not a monster truck?
To tippy, too much money to make durable, dont handle as well. Better for off road only.

If i would have known.. definetaly a 4wd buggy. Of any design. On/off road hills dirt snow etc.

The Stadium truck in low traction? Gah donut machine..

This is all just my opinion. Take it as you will. I just wish I would have had a bit more hands on. Is the ST fun.. sure.. does it jump yup yup. Will we ever see a race naw...would we enjoy a buggy more.. you betcha.

i got a Hpi NMT 4x4 and i love it i bash on/off roed with it...i drive it on my track behind my house i like how it goes in snow and plus i am in the process of building chains(tire cahins)...so if u buy a stadium truck go with the Hpi Nmt2 i got the NMT1 the NMT2 is more durable and stuff.... or go with the one your LHS carrys Most Part for.i pick which ever i dont buy From my LHS...the dont know chit about r/c nitro and electric.....well i say go with the Hpi NMT2....i neva owned a buggy. but my lil bro has a old RC10 elctric buggy goes pretty fdast but can't handle half the chit i put my NMt through. just my .02

in my experience an 1/8 buggy can handle any terrain a monster truck can, my buggy can go any were my t-maxx or my friends savage can, the only places it can't go are very rough areas with large rocks or extreme ruts carved out by dirt bikes that went mudding. yes a monster truck can tackle that terrain, but would have to go at speeds that would be better suited for an electric...IE crawling speeds. 1/8 buggy all the way!!

BTW an old rc10, or a new rc10 while being a buggy, is no were near the same league as an 1/8 buggy, well yes they great at winning races, but they can't handle repetitive full speed jumps off the BMX tracks 100 degree turn burm.
