Scored myself a Mini Z Defender

I didn't need another crawler, but I did need a Defender in my fleet . Scored a deal on eBay and got this one for under retail. I hadn't been able to find the orange Defender and most are sold out on the Kyosho Anerica site.
Really happy with the detail on this body.
This will be my Halloween theme, since it's orange and black.
Since I've got my space crawler to build, I don't plan to do much with this rig, just enjoy it. Only change likely is to make another AAA to lipo battery conversion, but that's low on my To Do list.

Put the Defender in the "shop" today.

I wanted to try out my new hex hub adapters. Figured I'd mount my other scx24 wheels on it. The stock tires are so tiny. After mounting these wheels I can see it's not really gonna work, well not without a lift kit

There IS a lift kit availible, right? Does the Injora chassis get you any extra height?

The steering actually clears. It's the back fender wells. The shop I bought the hex hubs from actually makes a 6mm lift kit for it ($15). It's in my cart, just deciding to pull the trigger on it. Not sure about the injora chassis.

It's a slippery slope! I just tried to run it, these wheels hit the hub. Looks like I may need another set of wheels with a couple mm offset to clear the hubs. It's always something.

I got some brass hex hub adapters to try. They worked perfect! These were the 2mm extra in length that I needed for these wheels, no issues now with wheels rubbing the hub now.
Still need the lift kit though.
