Tis a familiar story, I can't imagine me being the only one 🤣

I have been wanting to build a dedicated 1/10 comp crawler for a while, because you can never have too many rigs right? I keep telling myself I need to finish my current rc projects first before I start another, not to mention finish building my beautiful brides kitchen cabinets.

But stupid me keeps watching vids and researching chassis. I narrowed it down pretty much between a few different designs including a Poizd T3 V3. I kept watching vids of the Poizd builds, but fortunately they have been out of stock which has held me at bay. Until a few days ago they showed one available. I held off the temptation, but then went to pull the trigger on it today, only to find it now out of stock. So what did I do? I back ordered one 🤦

Anyways, the build plan will most likely include a Furitek Unity motor, straight aluminum axles, I will prob make my own titanium links, mini trans like a DLUX Fab, blah blah blah. I really need to finish my G30 boat build first though.....oh, and my brides cabinets 😬

I am so buckled up for this. I too have been looking at Unlimited or Cheater rigs. The Pozid is top of the list followed by the Wizard by Ottsix.

I know the ladder has a negative brand reputation built around things the owner has said. Personally, I am not aware of what exactly transpired and I am just looking at value for dollar.

So looking forward to watching you spend a bunch of money..err I mean build a sweet rig!!! šŸ˜‰

Think I am going this direction for body, Bitty Design Rock1. Kinda need to determine what the rig will look like to make a plan for components. I prefer a more "real" looking body, or caged buggy look. Really diggin this Rock1 body though.I want to stay class 2, but right on the edge of class 3.

Sick!

That's actually the same body I went with on my Stance. I can still see the R1-50 look myself, mimicking like a crazy hacked up 1:1 truck.
BUT someone else recently told me it looks like something out of Halo šŸ˜†šŸ˜‚šŸ˜†šŸ˜…šŸ˜„šŸ˜€šŸ™‚šŸ« šŸ˜¶ā€šŸŒ«ļø

Oh cool, that body even looks good trimmed up. I like the tube bed cage too from Bitty's website. Do you know if that is the stock Vanquish bed? I did not see it on Bitty's site.

Just got notice that my Poizd T3V3 chassis shipped today!:banana::banana:

I did order up some 5mm titanium rod to make my own links, should be fun. Still not sure about axles, I would like to go with straight instead of portals, but it is pretty dang hard to beat the quality and value of the Meus ISO aluminum portals. I am also checking out the Vitavon straight axles, but really want something a little wider, which is steering me towards the Meus. Decisions decisions. I really need to finish painting the G30 boat build first though before I get too much into this new crawler šŸ˜Ž

Welp, she's here!

Trying to refrain myself from opening it up and assembling the basic chassis. I got some extra fun tickets ($$), so I ordered up a few goodies 😃 The 5mm titanium rods arrived too, looking forward to making my own links for this one.

Excited for this build, but...I....must....resist. At least til I finish my boat build, oh yeah, and 3 bodies to paint. Too many projects at once, maybe I have ADD? But surely I'm not the only one like this? Can I get a witness?

Wait, what were we talkin bout? 🤣🤣

I have so many projects 🤣 I just keep adding to the pile.

build! build! build! build! chant it with me guys...

Can't wait to see it.

I didn't realize @CreepyQuarryCrawler 's warthog...err I mean...totally not a warthog... was that Bitty body! Such a cool looking cab only design.

Ok, ok, I know, "resistance is futile" 🤣

Also been collecting a pile of bits and goodies for this build. Have gotten in a set of JConcept "Megalithic" tires in green compound, Team Associated 90mm FT shocks, and some sweet looking Rhyno RC "Moza" beadlocks. Ariving Tuesday are Meus aluminum Capra width ISO portal axles and a mini nod trans (DLux clone). Hopefully will order up a set of CI foams and the Bitty Rock 1 body in the next day or two.

Drive shafts will wait until I can get an exact measurement on lengths, this chassis will need three of them.

Only thing really left to decide on is the motor and servo. I was going to go with the Furitek Unity 10, but now I am sorta smitten by the Holmes Hobbies Crawlmaster 2N1 in 2300 kv. Any opinions on these to motor esc combos? <- did I really just ask for opinions? 🤣🤣🤣
Leaning towards a NSDRC servo, havent tried one yet, but looking at specs, they are beasts.

I haven't tried the Unity 10 myself but the other Furitek gear I have has been exceptionally so I have high expectations.

I too am interested in the HH 2-1 as I have yet to try anything from Holmes.

Maybe you should do some "hands on" research with the HH, just take the plunge!

I have Furitek powerplants and ESC's in 4 rigs, 3 mini crawlers and my Arrma Mojave Grom. All of them have been flawless, and the Mojo Grom is a missle! I've got a Holmes Puller Pro in my Axial Ryft, it is a beast and not a single issue.

The HH 2N1 is heavier and bigger than the Furitek Unity, but imagine it will have a little more grunt. The Furitek is pretty durn sweet, compact and light, hard to beat it right now.

Plunge taken, but without the high heels and basketball hoop... oh, and without the red dress as well 🤣

AMain has a sale going on this weekend, so ordered up the HH Crawlmaster 2n1, 2300kv. 10% off and free shipping. Also put the Bitty Rock 1 body with full bed on the order since it was on sale for 32 bucks
