I've been wanting this body/chassis combo for some time now and finally decided to grab it. The print quality is excellent! I thought I'd maybe have to use a filler and sand it, but I don't think I have to. The color is great too, so I'm thinking minimal painting or trying some weathering. There will be some lights involved, as always ;)

This is going to be my scifi/space crawler (not totally sure what to call it yet). I'll be gathering parts slowly. The plan is to start the build after my Ironman race in September...a little reward for finishing it 😉.

It's optimized for C10 front, Deadbolt rear. It cns work with other wheelbases too.

Currently looking into Meus straight axles for it. I have a set of 1.3" Injora tires I'd like to use on it. Still figuring out electronics and motor, I just know I want to make it "fast" more like a mini trail truck.

Pretty cool looking. What is it, and are the files available? I still got boxes of parts in the garage. LOL
I got it off Etsy, from QuadraBlue. They make a few scx24 futuristic style bodies.

The body looks great! Long, low and mean!!!

If it helps....mofo rc has a heck of a sale going on right now

I will check that out! Thanks!

Just sayin 🤔 ;) On sale for $15

https://moforc.com/products/alpha-trailing-arms-for-scx24-deadbolt-rear-link-length

1 pair of Aluminum Trailing arms for scx24 Coated Black with logo, replaces lower links these are deadbolt rear lower link length comes with link balls assembled, 1 pair of lower trailing arms to take the place of standard links. Can be mounted front or rear, obviously will take some figuring out of where to mount the shocks on the frame. Shocks mount to the trailing arm for extra travel and articulation and great looks.

Those look nice. I think I need to figure out where to start on gathering parts, like start with the drivetrain? Figure out the Motor/trans... that'll determine the skid plate which will information length of links? I've never done a ground up build, so I could be off.

I have only done 2 build
I started with the wheel base (links) then made sure I got the appropriate length drive shafts
Don't know if that's right or the best, but it made sense to me

That makes sense. There's so many things to consider, that's what makes building fun though :)

I'll see what wheelbase I'm going for, maybe those links will work ;)

Like I said, I have only done 2 builds.
My first was a ground up build from scratch. I knew what wheelbase I wanted going in, then picked a chassis, then started gathering parts.
It was a labor of love. I have made a few changes along the way, mostly becuase I learned what I tried didn't work. But I learned so much doing it

My second was different, I found a toy body I wanted to build, and then built the rig around the Body. That required figuring out the wheel base then building around that. I used what I learned in the first build, but it did bring about some new challenges

I definitley recommend doing it, though. You learn so much. Just be prepared to have times when you want to throw it again the wall and times where it is the most rewarding thing. You might try somethign and realize it just will not work and have to pivot. But, then, you'll have spare parts to do another build :)

Looking at motors today for this rig. I'm considering the Furitek Unity24 Pro. Has anyone had experience with this one? If so, do you like it?

Thinking of a 14t pinion...maybe running on 3s.

Only thing I have heard is they're huge! Like huuUUUGGGE. You just have to make sure you have the room for it. (36mm I believe?)
I'm currently checking out a 1/10th 2-1 by them and I am highly impressed!!

Yea, size is a valid point. This is what I see for the unity24 on furitek. What can't infer is, is it 32.6mm or like you said 35.7mm?
