hey i bought a new stock axial rtr crawler. would like to upgrade my steering but not sure what to buy, not to buy... if ya know what i mean. would apperciate any advice on the subject of upgades. also would like to go alluminum links too but need to know what i all need to get to do these things. don't want to end up missing stuff i need to complete the job. thanks anyone willing to help.

You could get a new heavy duty motor plate.

New double reverse triangulated skid.

Some real nice squared delrin lower links.

New under body-body mounts.

Aluminum knuckles.

Aluminum hub carriers.

Tons more stuff. What exactly are you wanting to upgrade on your steering? That will help us show you what to get/not get.

want to up grade to a heavier duty servo maybe, go to alluminum steering links, upgrade knuckles. just want to beef it up a little, doesn't seem to flex to its potentail either.

IMO after my experience with the STRC C's and Knuckles I would stay away from them, The C's have a slot instead of a hole where is is supposed to be to screw onto the axle and this seems to allow it to move in and out, I like the Axial knuckles with the Vanquish High Steer knuckle, which is also a good set up if you decide to go with a BTA (behind the axle) steering set up, which I highly recommend.

axial aluminum hubs and knuckles always worked great for me.

As far as the servo goes, what are you running for electronics? Stock? If so you will be limited on how strong of a servo you can run and will need a ubec to get the really strong ones. Whats your budget?

Ya just have stock electronics in it.
not lookin to spend to much to be honest don't even know what the average one goes for...
:D

The ability to spend very much affects the performance of your vehical.Run what you got for now get all your parts then do your upgrades. One piece can cause failure to another do it once do it right.:D

If someone was to do the Axial BTA steering kit, what else should be done at the same time (to do it right the first time), or does the kit come with everything needed?
