Reviving the RC hobby

Recently a friend got some new rc cars for bashing, it triggered me to see what I still had lying around. I was pretty into the sport around the late 90's early 2000's when I was around 11-15 years old, I still had a RC10T3 and a HPI RS4MT but I couldn't find my nitro stampede. I used to race the T3 and would street drive the RS4MT. I was able to get both cars running but the new lipo power unsoldered the leads on my old monster 13 turn double brushed motor and sparks were already flying out before that. I ended up getting new electronics and painted up some bodies. When I was done, these cars were too nice to bash and I found a killer deal on a new team associated rival MT8 350$! I fitted the MT8 with a more vintage body and fixed some of the known issues. I hope to take the old 1/10 cars to a track to play around, and to bring back some old memories. Now I have a whole line up of rough riders and hope to share the hobby with my newborn son.
