RC Driving Style
Hey guyz, i got a chance to drive one of these and wow, fun and easy!
Anywayz, i was looking at getting a rtr stadium truck, i was really lookin at that Rc10t4. I want a rtr cuz i dont want to get a better radio, maybe eventually. So what would it cost to get the rc10t4 rtr SE, and get it somewhat race ready, i will be racing offroad tracks as well as with my Savage.

I dont know much about ESCs and motors, so can people just list what they recomend for all the parts i will need to replace or put in to make it race ready, cheap. So if u guyz could just fill me in on what cheap ESC i will need or should get to run this fast motor, etc.. i would appreciate it, thanx guyz!! :marshall:

You can start with the RTR you mentioned. It will come with everything included. Spend your money on batteries and a good charger then go from there. As you improve, get better equipment as you can.

for ESC get the LRP quantum competition 2 since it is water proof and you are on budget. for motors start off with stock. for your stadium truck i would recommend a p2k based motor. http://www.teamhighvelocity.com/ has some decent tuned motors at a reasonable price.

charger- pulsar 2 of APS 3in1 charger
batteries- there are too many to choose from but surge batteries are pretty good.

well if you are buget i would get the rouster esc or the super rouster ...... for a motor it depaend what type of raceing you do ... stock or mod. for stock p2k2 for mod p94 12 turn matt franes hope this helps you ... thanks curtis

I'm kinda into electrics myself. Keep in mind that the lower turn the motor, the faster and more expensive it is. Having that been said I had an electric rustler which is slower than Moses out of the box with a Novak Rooster and a Trinity Speedgem Diamond 12t motor on it. I was running 23/66 gearing and that thing flew. Little things like the battery can really get you moving. Seven Cell batteries are pretty easy to make. (I'm sure you can find an article on it, but if not just pm me and I'll tell you how)

Just make sure when shopping, to find something durable.

**FYI. Duratrax is REALLY good about warranty. Electronics, and Chassis parts, they are very good about warrantee. I have an electric evader bx and half the parts are "stress tech" and if you break them, send them in and you get new ones!

Happy hunting!

First let me say that I think the T4 is a great choice. Check ultimatehobbies.com I think they are $200.00 shipped for a rtr T4. You need to know the guide lines to follow at your track as for as esc and motors. I'm almost positive you will need an esc without reverse or one that the reverse can be disabled. The Duratrax streak is a good choice for a tight budget, around $40.00 on tower and will handle down to 12 turn motors. You will most likely need a stock motor. Keep in mind that a stock motor does not mean the motor that comes with the truck. Your best bet is to check out what others are using at the track you race at and go from there.
