SD The mods I have made so far are great steering mod, 6cell 3300mah batteries, 12t pinnion, offset wheels and bigger tires. I am still running the stock motor. I know the lathe motor from integy is on my wish list but what will it get me in crawling power over the stock 550 motor with 12t pinnion? Or would I be better going to the Novak brushless for the E-maxx??

The lathe motor will provide more torque but lower top speed over the stock 550 motor.

I can't really say much about a brushless setup having no experience with them. I would think they would spin too fast for crawling.

I've seen brushless motors in crawlers i heard they are preety good. just make sure it is one one with 4 magnets not 2 (i heard some brushless motors come with 2). if you get one with 2 it will roll to freely. but other then that they are good motors. with the right gearing you will turn all that power a brushless has into low end torque.

the lathe motors from what I've seen are preety common now
