I just finished installing my new OS motor into my Revo. I can't' get the thing to start. I had to adjust the factory setting location of the fuel nipple due to interference with my sway bar set up. I don't know if this is the problem or if my carb adjustments are off:angry: If anyone has a site or any suggestions on tuning an OS .21TM carb, your help would greatly appreciated. I would love to get this thing running. By the way, the glow plug works great and the fuel is brand new!:)

is it getting stuck at tdc?

is it getting stuck at tdc?

No, this piston moves freely from top to bottom, it does not want to fire up. I have a roto start system on it that I just purchased. It is installed correctly and work well. I wish the dern thing would start:\

The last OS engine I broke in (a long long time ago) was set ridiculously rich from the factory. Try leaning the LSN in small increments (1/12 turn) until she fires up.

If it's still hot and dry in Vegas, what am I talking about, it's ALWAYS hot and dry in Vegas...........do what SD suggested. I'd think almost any motor would be too rich (at factory settings) for the climate you're in. :D

did you prime your engine and try setting the hsn 2.5 out and the lsn 1.5 turns out if it wont start richin up the hsn by 1/4 turn each time

I got the engine started and broke in almost completely. I have the high speed needle dialed but i dont think I have the low speed adjusted. Someone stated to have the lsn set flush with the outer portion of the carb. I have it set somewhere in that range. This is my first three needle carb. There is a small screw on the side of the carb next to the fuel nipple location. What is that adjustment for?:\ The only nitro engine I have ever messed with is the TRX 3.3. I am more experienced with electrics. Sorry for all of the questions:(

No problem bud, that is your idle speed screw.
Get the truck to run with a good speed with engine temps around 200-220F using just the HSN adjustment.
Then listen to the engine as it idles, does the idle speed steadily drop? Is the first 1/4 of the RPM range boggy? If so lean the LSN in small adjustments until these problems go away.
Set the idle speed to keep the clutch from dragging at idle but still allowing the engine to idle for at least 10 seconds.
If the idle speed steadily increases and the engine runs hot the LSN is too lean.
