How is this technique advanced? You're yanking the pressure line and richening it a bit. I hardly consider that "advanced".

agreed.

No offence Derek but it kinda seems like you play this up like it's some type of ingenious idea. Maybe it actually was somebody's idea, I don't know... who am I to say.. But I'd bet that it's more than likely just a positive side effect of someone's accident long ago.

Modifying a sleeve is advanced, this is no more advanced than changing shock oil.

now as far as the "device" is concerned, that may be a different story, but we'll just have to be patient for that.

He's just been told of this regulator and he's all excited about it. There is more than one company that has tried an approach to a fuel regulator on a nitro car. It's mainly been targeted at on-road applications, so far (but not exclusively).

It's electric, so there is a power concern.

Man you just want to not listen or understand anything. Being tested on a .21 means nothing. 1/8 scale racers used this all the time. IT GIVES ANY NITRO ENGINE MORE PUNCH ON THE BOTTOM END. It's really simple, but you seem to either not want to understand, or just being thickheaded to just argue with me despite the facts.

Derek,

Do you actually read the posts here or just post anything that comes to the top of your head? How many times do I have agree with you? Seriously take a few seconds, breathe my friend then go read the last 3-4 posts I've posted - they all said that after reading the article and viewing your graph, running without a pressure line will give you slightly more bottom end. You act like your trying to defend the holy grail when this technique is anything but.

Honestly whats so different between the way you're saying and I'm saying it?

Since Derek is a broken record and can't see when someone is agreeing with him can anyone point out what I'm missing? Is there something bigger the the slight increase in bottom end?

I don't think it can be. He said it's ROAR approved. I'm thinking it has to be a very simple instrument. That's why I thought it to be a one-way valve, very simple. won't open till there is enough pressure behind it.. that would suit this situation perfectly.

I'm not always talking to you. But I seem to have to be a broken record for when the new guy comes in and says he doesn't believe or understand it...so I have to repeat myself.

You guys crack me up with all the talk on here. :thankyou:

No, but then again, I am a novice tuner and incapable of understanding advanced tuning techniques.

I gotta go! I'm trying to figure out what that hole on the top of the engine thingy with all the fins on it is for. I swear it looks like I need to screw something in there, but what? I keep pullin' and pullin' on the starter cord and nothin'! :loser:

Cause pointing out that the thread is going in circles is like being either the tail or the mouth of that dog.

This thread is repeating itself...this thread is repeating :)

When we speak in generalities that doesn't mean it's addressed to you. But if you feel that way then maybe it is.:wasted:

statement don't always mean what the are intended to. It seems he's not the only one who took it that way, seeing as how the the amount of people who obviously took it personally outweight those who didn't... well.. maybe it's you?.?.

I'm almost tempted to take bets on how many pages we can get this bad boy up to!

Well Michael that would depend on what your preferences are set to..20 posts per page or 30?
Can you do 40 or 50?...

Things that make you go HUM!

Yeah... I started it and I looked around... I thought you could lock your own threads?

I'm almost sorry I started this mess.

BTW, I didn't receive the mag issue this was in until Thursday of last week. Then I received the next issue on Saturday. Very odd.

Why are you sorry, man? I've found it an interesting debate, personally. Anything that allows me to learn about something new is a bonus, in my opinion.
