No go new clutch but won’t power on just revs out

After replacing new clutch and springs I have no power to the drive chain just revs out no power going through to the wheels. Where have I gone wrong? Please help. Thanks in advance.

Shoes should still grab backwards. I believe theyre actually supposed to grab harder backwards.

Are you sure you installed the springs correctly?

interesting. i put the shoes on backwards in my RS4 2 before and it didn't work. also a 2 shoe so maybe that's why?

did you put the clutch shoes on backwards?

That’s what I thought so I checked again and there fine facing the right direction from what I worked out the thinner part of the clutch pads facing clockwise

Are you sure you installed the springs correctly?

Yes the flick back as they do in the video I was thinking they might be to strong but I get nothing even at high revs

Until I read Beer Goggles post, I just assumed that there was only one way to install them (trailing shoes).
You learn something new every day.

Some questions:
1. Aluminum or composite shoes?
2. Did your clutch shoes come with multiple springs?
- Maybe try thinner springs?
3. Did you remove and reinstall the flywheel?
- Is the flywheel gripping the collet?
- The clutch nut may need to be torqued down a bit more.
- I had run a flywheel for a long time on an engine that eventually "swallowed" the collet so that it no longer gripped the collet.
The engine revved, but no go...
I could not tighten the clutch nut enough for the flywheel to grip the collet.
I can't remember if I went to a larger collet or replaced both the collet and flywheel to remedy the issue.
Probably the latter.

Yes this is correct iv installed them in Trailling I’ll get some video of it running to show you..

I only got one set of spring as I ordered them on line but they seam to be very strong but I didn’t have any thing to go off as they weren’t on the engine beforehand
